LE FRANK — Restaurant in Paris

As the only sit-down, inside dining option at the Fonndation Louis Vuitton, the Frank is quite disappointing for the elevated prices and captive audience. The "Cascade" claimed to have tempura shrimp which was just deep fried shrimp with a mediocre panko batter, an overly fishy and thin soup, and a seaweed salad that wasn't even as good as any grocery store wakame in Hawaii. The ceviche was a decent but uninspired poisson-cru. The Caesar salad had a bland and insufficient dressing that was watered down by the strangely flavorless chicken. The mushroom soup was good. Service was attentive, and the atmosphere was decent but not any better than most other museum...

Didn't get food, but coffee and drinks were overpriced. Service was definitely rude from the part of the servers. Got the order wrong and then tried to make us feel guilty for their mistake. Then proceeded to throw a cup of sugar at us like we're second tier clients. Didn't bother to split the bill, were rude basically taking one of our credit cards off our hands at the desperation of not knowing how to handle cash. Then overcharged us 5€. If you're POC just don't come here, they will make you move tables to accommodate yt people. The only nice person there was...

We arrived at the transition to "tea time", a limited afternoon menu. That was fine - we merely wanted drinks and a pastry after a long wait in line to enter the building. I'm not sure if the cause was the transition or something else, but our wait for service and for delivery of our selections was quite long. One convenient thing was that we didn't have to wait for a check to be delivered; a numbered disc was left on our table, and I took the number to the bar to pay.
