The hotel is quite small, but as nice as the website suggests. The garden area, more of later (!!) is far smaller than pictures suggest. We had the friendliest check in, and our room was ready early. Both our Deluxe Garden View room and public areas of the hotel were great. The room was a little larger than you’d expect in Paris, the bathroom was very spacious with bath and shower. Quality of fittings and decore in both were great, upkeep perfect. Not a chip or scuff to be found. The bed was super comfortable, and water was in the room FOC. Not very good was service for guests. Both days we arrived back early evening after a day sightseeing in the heat, we hoped for a drink sat in the garden. We were not allowed access either day as they had private parties, and day 1 were told we could walk back towards the Metro and maybe find a drink and seat there! Day 2 we couldn’t even find anyone to be rude to us, we were totally blanked as staff were occupied by the outside party. Seems odd to promote the garden, charge extra for a garden view room, but then deny us access. We were really disappointed on all service here, the breakfast service is a debacle. We had paid, but day 2 we couldn’t face the inept and rude service so headed over the road and had a lovely simple breakfast in a small bar. You’d expect me to say I’d never stay here again, and I did think that, hence I’ve waited a couple of weeks to review. We probably would return, as the property is great and Metro links and Fondation Louis Vuitton close by. We would however have to expect zero customer service or care for hotel staff, and grin and bear that. Nice property, good location, staff need either...
Read moreWe went on a business trip but extended to a weekend so business/couples. This is a pretty hotel, it's quiet, clean, the bed is comfortable, bathroom products excellent, staff are helpful and friendly But... It felt more like a place for a single person doing business. Our room was so small we could hardly pass each other. The cupboard only big enough for one of us to unpack, desk was tiny with a small, uncomfortable stool so not easy for work and only one side of the bed had a table adjacent, so nowhere for water, phone, etc. We looked to upgrade but the larger room only had the advantage of space. The small, sparse furniture was identical. Returning in the late afternoon for a cup of tea was hopeless. Only one teabag in the room and no milk to be had anywhere in the hotel, not even the usual sachet type in the room. It really is B and B only. Downstairs there is a pretty garden which must be nice in the summer, but the 'lounge' is a corridor reminiscent of an airport lounge. Our conference was nearby so the hotel was convenient and near the metro to go into central Paris but I wouldn't recommend it for a...
Read moreThe hotel is easily reached from Gare de Nord, only 3 stops on RER E to Port Maillot then a 10 minute walk down Avenue Charles de Gaulle We had room 213, overlooking the courtyard, a good size, very quiet and with a really comfortable large bed. Excellent shower & plentiful hot water. It was lovely having an evening glass of wine outside under the trees in the courtyard, but we were very disappointed by dinner (a good veal escalope but surrounded by nothing but a mountain range of tepid mash/linguine with what tasted like some tinned tomato stirred through it with some Parmesan on the side) and ate out our 2nd night, there are lots of good cafes close by. The staff were friendly, smiley and helpful. We would definitely recommend, and hope to return.||A 20 minute walk to the Luis Vuitton centre & the David Hockney Exhibition - we augmented by walking on through the Bois de Bologne to the Chateau de Bagatelle for lunch and to spend the afternoon exploring the empty and beautiful 60 acre botanic gardens. ...
