Wow. Wow is the best summary of this unassuming restaurant across from a Holiday Inn in Paris. We visited France for 3 days in June 2023 and looked for somewhere cool (literally, somewhere with AC) for dinner on a 90f/33c day. Les Emburns has outdoor seating for those who want to suffer and a chilly interior for us fat Americans. The crepes...W O W. I do (did) feel like I've been pampered in terms of crepes. I was born and raised in Northern Maine and visited Quebec, Canada, twice per year. They have a LOT of crepes and I thought I'd had good ones growing up. That was before I tried Les Emburns. The savory buckwheat crepes are life changing. They're oily but still light, airy, and crisp. They're sour and tangy but still subtlety flavored and compliment the fillings. They're large but manageable for a satisfying meal. Best of all, they're piled high with the delicious and high-quality cheeses and meats you can only get in France. Even the mushrooms are more flavorful than anything you'd get in my neck of woods. The waitress had both sections, indoors and outdoors, and she still killed it with perfect pacing and service. Read moreGreat food. The savory crepe I had (smoked salmon) was really tasty. Served over salad made for a balanced meal. The sweet crepe I had was nutella. Nothing out of this world and looking back maybe pricey. But the crepe made a great vehicle to eat a sizable chunk of nutella. You can't go wrong with that. The couple next to me ordered salad (huuuge) and ice cream (really huge for European standards). Service was average for Paris. Waitress was really busy and barely had a chance to check if I wanted to ordered something else. For my fellow Americans, this is Europe and waiters aren't asking every 2 minutes if everything is ok. That...
