Beautiful ambiance. great hip hop/neo soul music from the 1990's/early 2000s played. Staff very helpful to accommodate vegan/non spice diners. The atmosphere and vibes were inviting. we ordered various items from menu - burger, shrimps, jerk chicken, sweet potato fries, salt fish Accra. The food was well seasoned and delicious. a bit spicy for the kids but they still ate. then came dessert. one of us ordered the Mama Mango dessert and she suggested we taste it. taste of heaven is an understatement. sweet rice risotto topped with passionfruit and mango puree, passion fruit seeds and a baked, sugar crunch. Read moreI tried, I really did. 9pm reservation booked and confirmed yet restaurant seemed surprised of our visit upon arrival. A party of 5 and only 4 received their orders. I NEVER RECEIVED MY ORIGINAL ORDER!
Following dinner for my party : I closed our check BY PAYING IN FULL.
Despite PAYING IN FULL, MAMA KOSSA more than triple charged us for drinks we DID NOT ORDER.
The total of items WE NEVER ORDERED OR CONSUMED WAS €121.
Did we pay for what we originally ordered? YES Did they FRAUDULENTLY BILL? YES Do I believe they attempt to defraud others? YES
Luckily I speak French well, I will not be compromised just because I’m a tourist.

Read moreMama Kossa has a beautiful vibe and equally delicious menu items! This Afro-Caribbean restaurant that turns into a laid-back and trendy lounge after it closes, encompasses all that the Paris Noir scene is about in the city of light! The aesthetics (art) were divine, service was excellent, and the manager Marvin was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, neighborhood and Parisian history. I went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch after shopping at Little Africa and came back that Saturday for dinner and more great food and the vibe during the yearly music festival in Paris called “La Fete de Musique”. They had a rocking DJ and people were literally dancing from their tables into the street outside the restaurant. I recommend you to stop in for the food, vibe and authentic Paris Noir reception and recommendations! This place by itself makes me feel excited to come back to Paris soon! Aurevoir...
