My experience with Guest Ready service was far from satisfactory and highlighted a series of issues that made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating. From the onset, it was clear that their services were not tailored to meet the needs or concerns of tenants, leading to a series of inconveniences and problems.
Issue 1: Upon arrival, the apartment was in a deplorable state of cleanliness with dust covering surfaces including couches, beds, and covers. Despite assurances that the apartment had been cleaned prior to our check-in, the reality suggested otherwise. We were compelled to clean the apartment ourselves, a task that should have been unnecessary given the claims of prior cleaning.
Issue 2: Privacy concerns arose immediately when we discovered video cameras and audio recording devices installed within the apartment. Despite raising this issue with Guest Ready, their response was both dismissive and unhelpful, stating unawareness but failing to take any corrective action. We were left with no choice but to uninstall these devices ourselves to ensure our privacy.
Issue 3: The functionality of appliances and devices within the apartment was questionable at best. Key amenities, such as the washing machine, were inoperative, forcing us to use laundromats for our washing needs. This not only added inconvenience but also additional costs (we asked GuestReady to reimburse the laundromat charges)
Issue 4: A sudden need to terminate the lease early due to work and family emergency was met with initially positive responses from Guest Ready. However, the process was mishandled, culminating in a demand for rent payment for a month post-checkout, a condition that was never clarified during the initial discussions about lease termination. This lack of transparency and support underscores a lack of tenant-focused service.
Issue 5: The attempt to withhold the entire deposit for the replacement of items that required only repairs was both unjust and indicative of Guest Ready's approach to handling tenant concerns. This included charges for water damage caused by their malfunctioning washing machine and for an old lamp that was already in a state of disrepair upon moving in.
In summary, my experience with Guest Ready was pretty disappointing, marred by a lack of cleanliness, privacy concerns, malfunctioning appliances, misleading information regarding the lease termination.
For those seeking short-term or mid-term accommodations, I would strongly recommend considering alternatives to Guest Ready. Their services, in my experience, do not adequately cater to the needs or rights of tenants, leading to a series of unnecessary challenges and...
Read moreHost's Perspective - Extremely Disappointed and Deeply Concerned
As a property owner who worked with GuestReady for over a few years, I feel compelled to share my experience from the host’s side - something that’s rarely reflected in these reviews.
From the beginning, the collaboration was riddled with problems. Their cleaning and check-in teams frequently underperformed, leading to repeated guest complaints, which ultimately resulted in damaging reviews on my Airbnb profile. When I raised these issues, the responses were often delayed or dismissive, and nothing was truly resolved.
Despite having clear communication with the GuestReady team, they made unauthorized visits to my property - including one instance where they entered and removed bed linens without my permission or prior notice, even though no cleaning was scheduled. This is completely unacceptable and a serious breach of trust.
The final straw was discovering that one of my original keys was lost by their team months ago without ever informing me. Instead, they had a duplicate made and returned it to me without explanation - I only found out after raising the issue myself. That a professional property management company would fail to notify the owner of a key loss - a clear security risk - is both negligent and alarming.
Their recent response to this was a blanket denial of accountability, refusing compensation or even acknowledging the severity of the issue. Their attitude toward basic communication, host transparency, and property security has been profoundly disappointing.
To any future hosts considering GuestReady: think twice before handing over your property to them. Their operations may appear professional on the surface, but the reality is a lack of ownership, accountability, and respect for the trust we...
Read moreStaying in this 4th floor studio apartment is living a Paris fantasy. If you sleep with your window open (which I recommend), you will wake up to the smell of fresh baked pastries from the patisserie below. You will fall asleep to the hum of voices chatting and laughing and eating along the street, while pop music emanates from Chez Hanna (the delicious falafel spot below).
There is no better location in Le Marais, period. Rue des Rosiers is a cobblestone pedestrian street (minus delivery trucks dropping supplies at storefronts), famous for falafel restaurants and a wide variety of boutiques to fulfill all your shopping desires.
You are in the center of everything: a 2 minute walk to the Seine and a 2 minute walk to the Saint Paul metro stop.
The apartment itself has everything you need, except for a dryer. You’ll need to hang dry your clothes on the racks they provide.
The bed is comfortable and the couch and desk are good places to use for work.
The view of the neighboring roofline and chimneys is quintessentially Paris and I would lean out my window every day and revel in it- honestly.
Note: you can see directly into the apartments across the street but there are curtains which provide more than enough privacy.
CheckMyGuest was responsive to any questions that arose and flexible with my requests. I had a positive experience renting from them and would use their services again.
If you want a quiet retreat in Paris, this is not the right choice.
If you want to feel the heartbeat of this spectacular and enchanting city, book this apartment immediately.
