I love going there with friends. It gives me not only nostalgia feelings (with the authentic dishes, the smell, the decorations) but also pride when I introduce Vietnamese cuisine to people from other countries and get their sincere compliments after each meal. Reservation is really simple and fast. They will try their best even if you have last-minute change. But if you request of modification is not accepted, please understand for them cause the restaurant is quite busy normally. Moreover, they have vegetarian version of Nem (for sure), noddles (if I remember correctly) so the choices are open to everyone.
One thing that they might improve is giving space on the menu to write down seasonal dishes, as there are some very good and special meals that are not written (you have to ask if you know they are existed 😅).
Overall I would give 4.6 and of course I'll come back many more times.
Updated 1: 5th times here and still very satisfied with the quality. One advice might be useful is the soup bowl is REALLY big, thus maybe only main course can fulfil your stomach 😅. Their meals are very cheap and the food is plentiful. And I want to say the taste is very standard Northern - because I come from the North of Vietnam.
The restaurant also offers vegetarian dishes. I recommend coming in the early hours when they open at noon because it won't be too crowded. You can also call to reserve a table if you come up with 5 or more people.
You should try their desserts. I recommend you to try Hủ tíu xoài (in the menu it says noodles but it's actually coconut jelly shaped like noodles) and...
Read moreFamily run business, half Cantonese half Vietnamien. I love coming here 'cos the food is authentic.
They do the best Tsa Siu Pao (steamed BBQ pork bun) of Paris, homemade of course. Their durian sponge cake roll is awesome as well. I like a lot their braised beef meal and Hainan chicken rice, served with the soupe of the day just like in hk. And don't forget a nice pot of tea.
I don't specifically like their breads, cos they are dry and tasteless. But that's just like how they are in China (or at least how they were when I was little). Reminds me of the old days. You gotta have the basic knowledge of Asian food culture to...
