Learn moreFriendly and efficient staff, delicious brunch buffet, great value
We went to L’Artiste for the Sunday brunch buffet for 24€ per person. The staff was very friendly, spoke good English and managed to serve all tables even though it was quite full. The brunch buffet was all you can eat and included one glass of freshly pressed orange or grapefruit juice as well as tap water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate as much as you want. There was a large choice of different dishes that were filled up quickly once emptied. The things I can remember: Various breads, buns and croissants Various jams, chocolate cream / Nutella, butter 2 kinds of cheese, salami, ham Various dips e.g. guacamole, sour cream, tuna, beetroot and others Boiled and Scrambled eggs Bacon Chicken drumsticks Potato wedges Different salads, e.g. tomato, noodle, couscous, carrot-kraut mix, Greek salad, cucumber Quiche Tartes, cake, brownies, crème brulee and other sweet bakery stuff Fresh fruit: water melon, honey melon, pineapple, strawberries
All in all a very pleasant and nice experience and we would strongly recommend...
Read moreI have to say of all the omakase experiences I have got to say this has got to be my favorite places!
It was a bit hard to get reservations but I looked about a month in a half in advance. And got the 2nd seating at 830. Parking is a bit difficult but it might be a good idea to uber or lyft it there.
We started off with a asparagus & beet salad, that was delicious! The next part was the 12 piece nigiri. Each one was better than the next but my absolute favorites were the hairy snow crab, the cherry salmon, the house cured medai and mackerel. Quite honestly, I loved all the pieces and there isn't one that I would replace.
At the end we did add supplements to our dinner which were the waygu with truffle shavings, the chu toro, o-toro, uni, shirayaki and wild halibut! Each one was amazing, I know that they can add up at the end but each one was amazing. Add these on if you are not full!
Overall, we had a great experience with our chef Steve, he was fun to talk to and knowledgable about all the fishes! We will definitely be back in the future for another...
Read moreUnfortunately we did not have a good experience here.
We just missed the set menu time (2pm) so ordered off the main menu.
Starter: We waited 20 mins for a €9 Onion soup, which, when it finally arrived was boiling hot and mainly consisted of onion, bread and cheese. Not much actual soup. We had the same dish the night before at another restaurant and the difference was night & day.
Mains The pasta (€18) was cold & had a hair in it. Yikes! (the replacement was slightly warmer). The beef bourgogne (€17) was not bad but again boiling hot and contained one 1 potato.
Our experience was generally slow also. The two tables around us started and finished their 3 course meals while we had 1 starter & 2 mains. It took us over 90 mins for the soup & 2 mains.
The staff was apologetic but couldn't savage our experience. For €58 we had a soup, two mains and a small caraf of house red wine.
I recommend trying somewhere else. There are many great...
