Le Père Lachaise — Restaurant in Paris

As my brother mentioned below, my family and I became regulars here during our stay in Paris. I loved coming here after my long walks in Pere Lachaise Cemetery. The food was exceptional and the ambiance was warm and nostalgic, and you could enjoy drinks on the comfortable sitting area in the front of the restaurant while enjoying a refreshing cold beverage. Not sure what the bad reviews are on about... this is a great place with great service, great food, great beers, and a very hospitable owner. My family and I had gone here several times during our vacation in Paris and became well acquainted with the owner who treated us as though we were his own family. The food was well prepared and delicious -- very Parisian. We visited this bar after walking around Pere Lachaise cemetery and needed to eat a late lunch. The establishment looked as if it had been around since the early 1900s by the photos on the Wall. The menu had helpful English descriptions. With our limited French we had no problem placing our order. At this time of day (4:00) we were the only customers.
