Le Canard Royal — Restaurant in Pau

Great service & FANTASTIC food. Wanted duck and a traditional French meal and that's what I got. Had a three course meal for around 27€ then also got a bottle of the local wine. The man who waited on us spoke English which was very helpful. The duck was so so good. Dessert was a great finish, chocolate cake with ice cream and crème brûlée foam. Melted in your mouth. And as we were leaving they gave us a after dinner liquor that was local to the region for free. Really appreciated everything that this restaurant had to offer. I had an excellent experience at le Canard Royal. My starter was fried foie gras with porcini and chanterelle mushrooms served with a super light foie gras foam. The main was a burger made out of duck breast meat cooked to perfection, it was also served with goat cheese and fried potatoes.
