We went here with our 2 years old twin to have a pizza as it was good in the past. Btw. We can be called locals as our family lives here. We planned t have a shared pizza for the kids. This was denied as the owner seems to force to have one meal per person. Kids have to choose the kids menu which is not pizza and too much still for them and the same price as a pizza. Sharing did end up with an extra 2€. Ordering one pizza by saying one person does not eat was also rejected. You are forced to order when sitting with others. We would have left if the kids would not have been hungry. Even the weighter was humiliated and agreed that the owner is not customer friendly. That was the last time we came here and will not recommend that place anymore. Thumbs down. The shared pizza was not even shared on two plates for the kids. Btw. The food quality is ok but not as great to somehow compensate that behavior. Family unfriendly philosophy and tourism trap. I made the owner aware, that this is not a service driven approach and that we are talking about children. He just defended his approach arrogantly without any sense for children or customers without reasoning. The pizza quality was btw. The least quality in pau we had so far. Again we practically live here seasonal and know the good food culture of pau. Disappointing. Seems to make enogh money still from trapped tourists.

13/01/24 midi I ordered a pizza and a glass of white wine which costs €2.60. The pizza came soon and was delicious. The atmosphere is warm and the staff very helpful. The 1 star rating goes to the RESTAURANT MANAGER who, when I went to pay I saw he had overcharged me for the wine. When I asked him for clarification he gave me a supposedly stupid excuse that white wine is priced differently today. Instead of admitting his mistake and correcting it as every cashier should do, he tried to cheat me for €2-3. I'm sorry because it was clearly seen that he was deceitful. If you don't respect your customers, don't wonder about the bad rating later. Be careful what they charge you in this resto.

Very bad experience. First of all after bein sat for 20min I wave at a server to take the order and he answer me saying that only one persone was in charge of taking order (super weird) so we waited another 15min and then finally the server came. The food was very poor we order a salad, I found a hair inside then "escaloppe champignon " it was very tough and the pasta coming with it cold and we also order moules frite Roquefort sauce and that was probably the best think. While the server was taking an order to the table next to us she keep saying it's disgusting to every choice the couple were making. She added to that " I don't care to say it, it's my last day" When the clear the table and asked how was everything, we mentioned everything and the answer was " you know it's a tough job" yes I know because I do the same Job in America! I put this comment because they didn't obviously care that we had a bad experience and didn't every try to make up for it. Iam a French living in pau and I am telling you don't go there its not good, not representative of the French cuisine and they don't care about the customer. Go next door to Gascon it...

Food was great and the waiting and bar staff are multilingual. Apart from it seems an older red/ginger haired woman with glasses. We were attended in Spanish and our order was taken in Spanish. Service a bit slow and food arrived tepid. When it came time to pay - The bar man printed our receipt and I was reading it, and the woman all but pushed him out the way like she was ready for a complaint and only spoke French. She shouted the number at me in French and the barmen were laughing. As you can see from the photo they charged me for a whole duck when I’d ordered only half. The photo is uploaded - I assumed this was half a duck. It may only be an extra €9-11 euros but it seemed done on purpose. Have seen other comments here where the same has happened. Have pizza or something with a set price. I wanted mussels and chips but was told at 13:45 they had run out. All underhand and shady, and frankly disrespectful...
