Today we visited this place for lunch after our visit in Perpignan. I can say in this place we had the worst experience of our life and the way we were treated was really bad.
We have ordered 3 pasta linguini and the seafood pasta tasted off , it had an odd smell of vinegar and we advised the waiter to please check on this dish because we weren’t happy with it. The waiter who didn’t really care to say sorry or provide another option for my wife , left the dish on the side of his station and forgot about us. After being ignored for the rest of our meal , he brought the bill and wanted us to pay for the dish, he stated that the dish was good and in france you have to pay … after some words with him , he agreed to remove it from the bill. When I went to the toilet i got stopped by the chef who agressively and loudly said that the pasta was good and he insulted me in front of my kids. Is this the way you treat the customers in your restaurant ? Avoid this place at all times , food is very expensive , staff are rude and the chef has no manners and is looking for fights if you don’t like his food. , that is called good hospitality . Even we had to advise the local...
Read moreMy wife and I dined at Café Vienne after discovering it while walking along the Basse in the old section of Perpignan. It reminded us of an old world café with beautiful wood interior and white tablecloths. I had the entrecôte de boeuf with frites (selection de Café Vienne), while my wife had the Salad Café Vienne (filet de volaille, frommage, jambon, oeuf, haricots vert, et concombre). Both were excellent café fare. We topped it off with chocolate profiteroles with vanilla ice cream. Service was responsive yet not intrusive. Our waiters and we had fun working through our French and English as we ordered. The decor was perfect. If you are looking for a comfortable location for a good meal, this is the place. Look no further...

Today we went for lunch and ordered the seafood pasta , the pasta tasted off and it had an odd smell of vinegar , my wife couldn’t eat it so we informed the waiter , who rudely took the dish and did not bother to get another option. We were ignored until we asked for the bill and they wanted us to pay for the seafood pasta . When my husband went to the toilet the CHEF came out shouting at us saying in french “my pasta is good” and then he said “ what is not good is your head”. What on earth is this even posible ? You go to a restaurant and if you don’t like the dish you get shout and insulted from the chef ? This incident was reported to the local police. Avoid this place...
