La Cafetière Catalane — Restaurant in Perpignan

Don't trust a roaster that doesn't know or say when the coffee was roasted (specific date). I asked when the coffee was roasted but the answer was just "fresh fresh". It was the worst coffee I have ever handled. I bought 3 different coffee beans that they recommended. They all tasted the same, green grass. Yes, lightly roasted, but how can beans have such utter lack of any origin characteristics? While I usually grind my KAWA coffee at or around 70 (on my grinder scale), with this, I needed to go down to 40 to get any taste/extraction. I assume it was either roasted wrong or stored openly for 3+ years after being roasted. Over 50 EUR...

Passed this cute tea shop and saw people drinking something iced. A very sweet girl told us that they had two different kinds of iced tea. Her english was excellent. We were offered a small jug of sugar water so that we could make the tea as sweet as we wanted, it was very tasty and refreshing.

Also some nice options on coffee beans and tea leaves, fairly prices in my opinion. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I went in because I was drawn by the amazing selection of teas and infusions. I spoke to Margo who offered a drinks menu and they had cold infusions already done that I could get on the go. Margo gave me little samples. She then opened some boxes of infusions so I could smell them. I chose one and she brewed it for me. She was very attentive and answered all my questions.
