Wonderful experience at this French steak house type restaurant in Perpignan. I went with my family two days in a row, liking it so much. The menu has a lot of variety (not just steaks) and very representative of Southern France hearty food. I personally loved the Roquefort and the aioli sauces… mixed together!! The green pepper sauce was also divine. My son ordered a filet of beef (entrecôte) and I ordered bavette. The food is cooked on a hot grill so the charred taste is perfectly captured. Note that ordering medium rare (saignant), medium (à point) and well done (bien cuit) is exactly how it is done in the US, no bad surprise. We also had dessert (ice cream). The Chantilly cream is home made, which is unusual and a good touch for this high end place. Note that it is only opened for lunch (from 11am to 2pm).

We were here in early October. Reservations recommended as they were fully booked and had to turn away guests. The weather was great so dined al fresco. It's a high end butcher cum caterer where you get get fresh or matured cuts. The menu of the day was reasonably priced. I had the Angus which I found a wee pricey compared to the taste of the meat. I have had better Australian or American or Scots beef steaks for less. Then again we are in France, Angus is a foreign breed here. Deco is trendy, service not that desirable it took a while before our orders were taken, two reminders before we got our wine, served after our dishes. Recommended if you are looking for a no fuss quality meal with the menu of the day.

Nous sommes très déçus de ce restaurant, autrefois très bien. L’accueil n’est pas très agréable, la serveuse nous tend les cartes sans même nous adresser un bonjour. Mais le pire n’est pas là… Ma copine s’est retrouvé avec UNE VIS dans son plat, nous n’avons eu le droit qu’à un petit « désolé ». L’assiette a été renvoyée en cuisine puis refaite. À la facturation, aucun geste commercial ni expression de regret. Je rappelle tout de même le danger que représente une vis si elle avait été avalée, puis aussi le manque d’hygiène que de retrouver un morceau de fer dans son plat… Concernant la cuisine : Nous sommes venus tester la formule du midi, 19€50 entrée-plat, assez raisonnable. La tarte aux champignons n’avait aucun goût, cependant l’agneau était succulent, malgré une semoule sèche et froide. Les viandes grillées sont vraiment très bonnes. Dommage que le service ne soit pas à la hauteur.

Visited this place with high expectations given the positive reviews on Google, which stated they were open until 19.30 each day. We called at 14.45 on a Wednesday evening to be told " ferme" at 14.00 hueres! Later I could see why. Many other restaurants in this area had closed completely. It's basically a large retail/ warehouse area so after 5pm when everyone goes home, it's deserted. If you are staying near here, go into the town where...
