Le Montagnard — Restaurant in Poitiers

We have been there in December 2013, when visiting Futuroscope. We asked in our hotel where we could eat a nice "fondue" and they told us to go to Le Montagnard. It was a cold Winter night but we found an excellent place to eat very good tipical montain French food in a very friendly atomosphere. We are Spanish and speak litle French, but the owner also speak a litle Spanish, so we could manage to understand each other. Had some fun time here for a dinner. Took vegetarian raclette for two and it didn’t disappoint. You’re having a big piece of cheese and unlimited potatoes, salad and cornichons. You’re melting the cheese over whatever you pick and eating it.

L'ambiance est agréable, le montagnard porte bien son nom ! L'accueil est chaleureux et souriant. Le service est rapide et attentionné, vérifiant que la table ne manque de rien et que le repas se passe bien. A la table nous avons pris raclette, tartiflette (option végétarienne avec salade, poivron et tomate) et Mont d'or, charcuterie et pomme de terre à volonté ! On s'est régalé, les fromages sont goûteux, tout comme la charcuterie. Les desserts ne sont pas en reste, tout est fait maison sauf les glaces. Et le café est servi avec une cafetière à piston c'est vraiment appréciable. En bref, je recommande chaleureusement, un restaurant où tout est top : cadre, accueil, service et assiette ! Allez y les yeux fermés mais avec réservation car forcément il est pris d'assaut ! Merci à l'équipe du Montagnard de nous avoir régalé ! Et à très vite !

Ps : juste pour chipoter un peu, des légumes de saison seraient appréciable pour l'option végé : les courges se marient très bien avec le fromage fondu (un bon potimarron ou Butternut rôti) mais c'est juste...
