La Serrurerie — Restaurant in Poitiers

Dreadful service, mediocre food. We had to wait one hour to be served, watching some people waiting the same just to get the menu. Tried to give it another chance - but it was exactly the same. First time we were 5 people and ordered the same dish of the day: all 5 dishes arrived different (plating and amounts), salmon was overcooked. It has a nice ambience, too bad its so poorly managed. Maybe going for a drink just to enjoy the place is a better idea but I personally will not go back there as there are plenty of other great places to enjoy in Poitiers rather than passing a bad moment at this artificially...

La posizione centrale e l'atmosfera accogliente, almeno in apparenza, sono stati gli elementi che mi hanno spinto a provare La Serrurerie. Purtroppo, l’esperienza si è rivelata ben al di sotto delle aspettative. Fin dall'arrivo, il servizio è apparso caotico e poco organizzato. Pur essendo cortese, il personale sembrava sopraffatto e impreparato nella gestione della sala. Le attese tra le portate sono state eccessivamente lunghe, e più volte ho dovuto richiamare l'attenzione per richieste basilari come un bicchiere d’acqua o il conto, senza ottenere un servizio realmente attento. Anche la qualità del cibo ha deluso. Mi aspettavo piatti curati, dai sapori ben bilanciati, ma quello che ho ricevuto è stato anonimo e privo di freschezza. Il pad thai, segnalato come una delle specialità del locale, è risultato insipido e lontano dai sapori autentici della cucina asiatica. Un vero peccato, considerando le aspettative create dalla sua reputazione. L'ambiente, che nelle foto appare affascinante con il suo stile rétro, ha mostrato segni evidenti di trascuratezza. Tavoli e sedie erano visibilmente usurati, e la pulizia generale del locale lasciava a desiderare. Un dettaglio che non può passare inosservato in un ristorante che ambisce a essere un punto di riferimento in città. Nel complesso, La Serrurerie è stata una delusione. Il potenziale per offrire un’esperienza di qualità c'è, grazie alla sua posizione e al concept, ma al momento il locale non è all'altezza delle aspettative, né dal punto di vista del cibo né del servizio. A great and decent cafe/restaurant. In the week you can get a nice breakfast or a pain au chocolate & coffee. At weekends the pastries are not around. All week in the daytime there's a very good selection of beers, wines and spirits, oh and soft drinks, milk shakes, teas and coffees.
