Le Sans Souci — Restaurant in Quimper

Please bear in mind that this a during covid19 pandemic post. This was a meal for four (two adults and two children). We ate lunch here earlier during our holiday, leading my 13yr old son to exclaim to a passing waiter that his cheeseburger was the best he'd ever eaten - quite an accolade particularly as until that point he'd decreed my homemade burgers to be the pinnacle of taste sensation, so I'm trying not to be offended. This time I shared moules marinieres with my son for a starter, which we devoured. Four mains were cote de beouf (a point), sirloin (been cuire for my 9yr old daughter), fish dish of the day for my wife and another cheesburger for the ganit that is my son. All meals well cooked. Freshly prepared so a little wait for the mains but this is France so c'est normal ! And everything was delicious! Hygiene was taken seriously by the staff. Everyone wears masks in public areas, tables sufficiently spaced a staff wearing face masks, hand gel at the door, toilets clean. All tables and chairs were thoroughly cleaned after use. The ice cream sundae deserts were to die for!!!! A massive selection of flavours. The meal including soft drinks came to 140 euros (all four meals were adult portions) which was reasonable given the situation and the location overlooking the beach as the tide came in. Service from our waitress was excellent and totally deserving of the 20 euro tip...

I stop here for lunch on monday with my family. We ordered a Pizza Bambino without ham and we got one with, we informed the waiter and he took it back, and received the correct pizza after. For me I gently asked, if possible, to have the vegetarian Wrap without cream cheese and mayo. I received one with mayo and cream cheese.. and i let notice this to the staff. They took it back and after a while i received one which from outside looks ok, when i started to eat i found out they gave me one with salmon!.They apologized to me, I sent it back and said that i did not wanted anymore, i lost appetite and my son and my girlfriend already finished their dishes. When i went to pay, they charged in the bill the vegetarian Wrap.. € 14.50. I noticed it outside when i left the place.. but i was tired to go back inside and ask again to correct their mistakes. I left with empty...

Having read some of the reviews, I was concerned, especially some of those of the treatment of English diners. However, we never experienced this. On our first visit, it was very busy and although the service wasn’t amazing, this was nothing more than due to the busy nature. Our second visit was a lot quieter and our waiter was excellent! He made a joke about us both testing out each other’s languages and really appreciated us attempting to order and converse in French. The food was amazing on both occasions, I had mussels both days and they were delicious! My wife had two different meals and enjoyed them as much - and those desserts… wow!! The pricing was very reasonable and In line with others in the area. Would very much recommend and will be going back again when we next...
