This seems to be a non-cook restaurant. We were a party of six. I ordered 'Assiette de crevettes roses as starter, it turned out to be eight prawns 'artistically' (not really) organised on a plate. Probably 80 centimes worth. For main I ordered a 'filet de bar'. This was tiny but I didn't get to eat it as my wife's choice, some Asian style of beef, was just seared and she couldn't eat it, so she had my bar and I chewed my way through the beef that was not a cut fine enough to serve raw. Frites on the side were greasy and crushed. Desserts were 'creme brûlée' and 'tiramisu'. The former was very thin and contained no vanilla, the latter was NOT a tiramisu according to any of the many recipes I have seen. No marscapone, hardly a hint of egg - yolk or white, no sponge of any kind. There were chocolate and very mild coffee flavours but mainly from a crispy coating, probably out of a tin. The custard seemed to have been supplied as some catering cream substance. My daughter and son in law didn't fare substantially better, only my grandson who had a grown-up hamburger received anything that remotely resembled a meal costing on average 25€. The mission statement of the establishment seemed to be: exploit the central location, put in the least effort and screw the maximum money from the poor...
Read moreExtremely disappointed by the food and the wine... The service was great though and the owner very welcoming: I guess that's how they get customers in their nets...
The so-called "tataki de thon" was a white tuna with no taste... What is normally used for tataki is the albacore tuna which is red. I mentioned it at the end but I doubt they will change their fish choice ...
The side salad and the French fries were the only good things.
The wine was not good either! They pretended to serve a Provence rosé while it didn't have the typical bouquet nor color of Provence wines. My guess is they poured whatever was left over in their bottles... And the glass was so tiny, quite ridiculous! I became more suspicious when I saw a large glass of rosé served to the woman seated by the next table (people at that table were friends of some waiters...).
In other words: it's a tourist...
Read moreThe food is ok. A bit over rated from the review. One of the waiter who wears a blue T shirt is terrible and rude. The waiter took away our baby metal spoon and fork and we asked to look for it. He doesn't bother and just told us all in bin and then ran away. He is just rude and terrible. Luckily we spoke with the waiter (or the boss) in the bar inside, he help us to find back the spoon and fork in 2 mins. So the food 3 stars, this waiter who serve our...
