L'Avocette — Restaurant in Rochefort

A very poor meal. Fish dishes were exceptionally disappointing. Odd mussels in jelly that were terribly under-seasoned. Overcooked fish, slow and erratic service. Very average dessert - sweet with no balance. Maybe Covid staffing issues? We had to return two John Dory main courses as they were inedible. The fish was so dry the skin was baked into the flesh, and the dish covered in undressed uncooked spinach leaves and raw pumpkin seeds, as if the fish was too shameful to be on display. My wife and I are lucky to live not far from L'Avocette and have been going there regularly since it first opened. The food, service and atmosphere are consistently excellent and the prices are fair and reasonable especially given the high standards that Isabelle, Laurent and Jeremy maintain. Of the family and friends we have taken over the years not a single one has been disappointed and all ask to return every time they visit us. Soirée plus que raté dans ce restaurant., Accueil horrible, froid et comme nous ne prenons pas d apéritif on ne vous intéresse pas, pour le coup pas de mise en bouche..... que dire de votre menu "horrible" explication une quantité incroyable d échalotte afin de masqué le gout de l entrée qui et dégoûtante. Il faut savoir que dans votre établissement on ne peut pas échanger un risotto par un légume si vous êtes intolérant aux féculents et bien allez vous faire voir d'un ton audieux, pire encore vous payer un supplément "Scandaleux" il est vrai qu'une purée de patates douce ou autres légumes coûte tellement plus cher........ Pour le poisson deux assiettes hyper chaude mais la cuisson était raté poisson froid au milieu ! pas une seul fois la patronne a demander, tout vas bien ? ca se passe ben ? deux seul tranche de pain la aussi cela coûte très cher il est certain que d'en redemander une tranche et mal venu. le dessert mousse qui effectivement n est pas très sucrée mais tellement grasse que nous en avons manger toute la nuit échalotte comprise.
