Lovely town, beautiful beach, relaxing walk along the sea shore. The restaurant was busy, obviously very popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. It didn’t disappoint, a wide variety of dishes available on the menu and as you’d expect a wine menu to match. Right on the front, easy parking when we visited (October).
The service was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were very helpful and friendly. It was so nice sat in the autumn sun, facing west with the warm sun beating down on us. Would happily eat here again, not expensive.
The restaurant has a similar number of tables inside as they do outside on the promenade. When we visited the outside tables were favoured, with the majority of the clientele basking in the sun. The road at the front wasn't particularly busy when we visited and it certainly didn't detract from our meal. The staff were busy yet we weren't rushed. Our meals were impeccably served and presented. Have a look at some of the other photos on the Google reviews, the photos aren't staged, the food really was well presented.

The waiter were quick to come to get our order, explain well the menu ( quite a few options and specials to explain). The apero was served quickly with the usual peanuts. Food was very good. I'm a big fan of beef tartare and I tried the "asian style" one. Well very prepared, nice spice. Quite a change from the usual one. My wife loved her shirashi. Definitely inspired by asian flavour, it is a change in Royan compared to the usual offer. I will have to come back to try few more item on the menu that...
Read moreInsta-grammable ça s'arrete la , j'ai commandé un chirashi de saumon car il me donner envie sur la table d'accoter , bref il arrive , le plat est très jolie malgré quelque écart à la recette originale de premier abord , le saumon est pas dégeu mais c'est tout , le riz est vraiment imboufable absolument pas vinaigré , ça ressemblé a du riz rond de dessert mais pas du riz a sushi ça c'est sur , il na pas était désamidoner du coup il pas collant mais pâteux vraiment une horreur , et ça la rigeur j'aurais pardonné , mais ça trempé.... pardons nagé... dans une sauce imboufable ultra acide un mix entre de la sauce soja et du jus de citron , déjà a quel moment un chirashi baigne dans une sauce , alors ok il y a du saumon et riz mais ont est vraiment à des années lumières d'un chirashi, c'est comme si avait appeler "boeuf bourguignon" une entrecôte arroser de vin , appeler ça autrement ou retirer le , car le chef qui vous a dit je sais faire un chirashi ... niveaux visuel c'est parfait ... niveaux gout mon petit cousin de 10 ans fait mieux , clairement à ce niveaux la j'aurais préférer du riz blanc nature avec 1 tranche de saumon fumé ça aurait été vraiment du foutage de geule mais ça aurait...
