Prélude café — Restaurant in Rouen

We came around 1 pm. The cafe was packed with locals. The staff is very friendly, he asked if we want to order first and sit at the outdoor while waiting for a free table inside. Not long, maybe less than 10 minute, he came back to say that 1 table is ready for us. We ordered the green udon with smoked haddock fish and poached egg (forget the original name, sorry) and IT WAS VERY GOOD.. everything was perfect about the cafe.. the coffee is good too, the first good coffee we had in Rouen :D we had a good chat with the staff about coffee.. we had an excellent time and...

Staff was super friendly and worked with me to communicate despite my limited French.

I got the golden latte, a cinnamon roll, and the granola bowl. The cinnamon roll and granola bowl were awesome, but I wasn't a huge fan of the golden latte. It wasn't bad, just not what I was expecting. If you're thinking about ordering it, be advised that it has a very specific taste.

The shop is located right off of a little square with some really cool surrounding buildings. Definitely a picturesque...

The coffee, the food, and the service are fantastic here. One of the only places in Rouen that is happy to speak English. The baristas are the perfect blend of friendly and efficient (which is rare in France ;) ). The flat white pictured was delightful and the cake was so good I couldn't stop myself from taking a bit before snapping a photo.
