Le Piment — Restaurant in Saint Barthélemy

I was really excited to try this place but unfortunately did not even end up trying their food. As soon as we entered the door the service was horrible. The waiter who I believe is actually the co-owner per instagram pics was not friendly and very inattentive. He sat us and brought us water but after this he did not return to check back in on us to take our order for drinks or food. During this time this person did serve other people and cleared tables looking at us multiple times. After waiting 30 minutes we decided we clearly were not going to have a good experience here feeling very mistreated which felt like this was due to us being American as he was very friendly to all the French customers who came in. As an owner or a server you would think you would be friendly and attentive to anyone walking through your door supporting your business. We will definitely not be returning or recommending this...

Le Piment de Saint Barth is located in the St. Jean area and has some smaller local shops nearby. Most everyone you see in the restaurant are locals and the staff is truly amazing and welcoming. It seems a lot of people dining there all know each other and truly is a great family vibe from the time you enter.

No reservations are needed and you're pretty much seated immediately when you get there. The restaurant has a variety of menu offerings, we ordered the burger with a side of fries and some drinks from the bar. We also closed the meal with homemade ice cream from the restaurant. All prices were affordable and all food was a great quality. We truly enjoyed the experience and loved the low key, laid back environment...

Amazing tuna dish! Oh I was SO pleased! Cooked to perfection, the tuna had been marinated in something tasty but not overpowering. The spiral zuchini was tasty as well and complemented the tuna perfectly. Filling. My boyfriend had some kind of steak and if you’re a steak guy… you’re gonna like this steak 😉 From what I understand in the psst they weren’t so careful with the food but they have improved in quality and care 💛 the only reason they don’t get 5 stars is that it really is a busy, noisy bar and that takes away from the enjoyment of the experience.
