La Végétalerie - concept store végétal — Restaurant in Saint-Brieuc

Vegan places are few and far between in Brittany (and rural France in general) but La Végétalerie proves that it's worth the wait when you find one as special as this! The food here is sensational! I had the best plant-based quiche I've ever tasted, served with vibrantly fresh salad and drizzled with a lovely vinagrette. We also had a superb dish of courgette fritters with a tatsiki style dip. These were followed by the most incredible cheesecake I've ever met - truly sublime - and an intensely chocolatey, epic foundant style pudding. We also tried the smoothies and juices which were stellar.

It's set in a beautiful space which sells a fantastic array of indoor plants amongst many other lovely homeware items, books and other goodies. This means that you're dining amongst hanging plants with lots of deep green foliage while gazing across at shelves of exotic looking succulents which is very magical. They also have a colourful little courtyard garden with tables for al fresco dining if the weather's good when you visit. The staff were all super lovely and helpful and made us feel really welcome. Fantastic! We went back for lunch and it really is a wonderful place, the lady running the cafe is so friendly and speaks great English in case you don't speak French. They had 3 options for lunch and all are vegan, 2 in our group are vegan and 3 are not and we all LOVED it! We all had the stroganoff and the tart, wow that tart is crazy good! Also the desserts are delicious you cannot tell there's no dairy in them! Chocolate chaud...

La 1ère impression est parfois la bonne !?... donc 1ère impression sur le papier tout à l’air parfait ce qui me donne envie de découvrir le lieu au plus tôt ! Rdv fixé avec une amie pour un petit thé le 28/10 génial ! Arrivées sur les lieux à 17:40 qu’est ce que c’est beau 🙏 bien pensé, bien décoré, mes yeux regardent de partout ! Je m’installe avec mon amie à une table nous commandons 2 thés à la menthe il est 17:49 ... nous patientons, découvrants les lieux du regard .. puis les minutes passent.. 18h ... il y a peu de monde autour de nous ... 1 couple s’installe non loin de nous, servis peu de temps après leur installation ... je me lève, demande à la serveuse gentiment si elle nous a oublié ce qui peut arriver évidemment, selon elle non les 2 thés vont arriver... 18:30 toujours pas de thés.. nous décidons de boire un thé ailleurs .. nous faisons remarquer à la serveuse que 50 mn d’attente pour 2 thés que nous n’avons pas eu cela fait un peu long, sa réponse : ah.. heu.. oui d’accord... bonne...
