A friend had a yearning desire to dine here as he is from Geneva and knows that the restaurant in Geneva was popular. So, we regrettably decided to turn the corner of where I am staying to dine in the Annemasse location. I cannot attest to the quality of their food as we were asked to leave even before ordering because we supposedly looked like bums. A removable hooded jacket (as it was raining through the day) slacks and walking shoes I guess, does not live up to its standard. After pointing out other diners who were similarly dressed I received no response but looked at with scour. Note my friend is an African Parisian and I an American Asian. I entered the date and time in hopes that management will address the behavior of its employees.
I will be in Annemasse for another week if management would like to respond.
This is absolutely inappropriate. It leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth for French dining as well as attitudes towards minorities. We were clearly dressed as a result of the weather and I am insulted to think that willfully paying customers are treated in this manner.
All Americans and people of color beware and do not dine here. It is not some expensive restaurant and I equate it more or less to TGI Fridays or Applebee's, although I'd say both mentioned restaurants have better customer service and perhaps better food.
My description and time I have taken to write this review should be reason to...
Read moreGood food and good service. I only had an hour to eat, I got a Flammekueche That was very good and quick. After still had time for a dessert and coffee, all whilst being able to watch the first half of the football! Even though I said I only had 1 hour the staff never made me feel rushed, all the time being a solo diner taking up a table for 2. If you are ever stuck in annemasse definitely take refuge here. I was recently back in Annemasse for the night, went back here. Again very busy but got me a table very quickly with minimum fuss. I had more time this time so got the poulet wok. Very good. Staff again were very friendly a very good, polite, knowledgeable and always smiling and chatting with customers ( local and non local), waitress served me. I will be going back for sure if I'm in...
