Let me start with the best things: the service is great, really good, well done girls! And by reading the reviews I think it's a good restaurant for a sea food platters but not for the menu/dishes. I took a raw fish for my starter and dorade as a main dish. The starter fish was dry and basically had no taste even though it's supposed to be marinated, the best part of the starter was the ice cream? Dorade was well cooked but that's it. Some kind of creamy sauce on the side with no taste really didn't leave a good impression. Risotto rice on the side didn't taste bad but it was dry, meaning not really risotto style? I took tiramisu Breton for a dessert and maybe my fault that I didn't know that it hasn't coffee in it but then again it's just fat with not much of a taste... All in all it's not a bad place but from the reviews I had high expectations. Maybe too high. And it's really a pity because with such great ingredients you could make wonders.

Visited Cancale today after many years and decided to have lunch. Choice of restaurants was plentiful but chose C’est La Vie and what an inspired choice. The Bistrot Menu described outside caught our eye but when we saw the full menu we chose differently. The food was absolutely fantastic, both tasty and well presented. Having really stumbled on this restaurant we would highly recommend it and will return on our next visit to Cancale.

It's a newly opened restaurant so it still doesn't have many reviews on Google, BUT IT'S WORTH IT! I had a delicius vegetarian burger (vegetable paddy) and my friend a normal meat burger which he said also was delicius. All burgers come with fries and small salad. The staff was very kind and even offered blankets for those who were cold sitting outside (but indoor options are also available).
