Avoid this place when it's full. The service team is ill equipped to handle the crowd. A "Menu Plaisir" turned into a "test your patience menu". Oyster starters were served without bread. Took them 15 minutes to provide us bread and butter. So of course it took us longer to finish our starters. And our grilled scallop risotto arrived before we finished our oysters. So they had to send back the dishes to the kitchen then serve them again. Our coffee came before our dessert. After 20 minutes of waiting, the dessert came but our coffees were already cold. The whipped cream of the dessert was already volume-less, which probably means the desserts were ready for quite a while before they were served. The waitress asked us how our desserts were, when we complained they had been left too long before being served, she didn't even apologize. A well-trained service team would have at least offered coffee free of charge...
Read moreAte here last year and had a rather mediocre meal. Tonight I thought i'd try it again and what an entertaining evening it turned out to be. I arrived at seven o'clock and started with an apéritif. The restaurant was relatively busy. As it got busier, it was apparent that the staff was way in over their heads. 3 or 4 times I saw staff come out of the kitchen with plates and bring them to the wrong tables. I saw people sit and wait upwards of half an hour to get an order taken. It took about that long to get my entree. And about 45 minutes later, my main arrived, tepid. I was served by four different people during my meal. The couple next to me who had come in a 1/2 an hour after me had a similar experience and had an Unpleasant exchange with a very rude waitress. Maybe just a bad night??? But the food was pretty mediocre which suggests no Real redeeming qualities here. I wouldn't...
Read moreImagine being blamed by the restaurant when their credit card machines don't work and you don't have enough cash to settle your bill (paying by card being one of the reasons you chose the restaurant). No sorry by the owner for the ATM fees I would incur, just a threat that he would call the cops. He was rude at the start, pretending not to speak English (which he proved he could quite well once money was involved, as he yelled at me to go back to my country) and he seated others before us. I expect my waiters in France to have a bit of an edge, that's fine, but the owner and head of the establishment should treat customers with respect and this man clearly has no sense of that.
Unfortunately, the food wasn't even good so this would be a zero star review if it...
