As someone visiting from Paris — a city that knows what real hospitality and cuisine look like — I was absolutely stunned by how terrible this experience was.

Let’s be clear: the service here was not just cold, it was borderline hostile. If you’re not from around here, don’t expect a smile, basic courtesy, or even the bare minimum effort. It felt like we were an inconvenience from the moment we sat down.

And the food? Honestly, I’ve had more passion and flavor from a microwave meal. It was careless, flavorless, and insultingly uninspired — a clear attempt to coast on a suspiciously high 4.9 rating rather than actually earning it.

For context: just yesterday, I had dinner at a 4.7-star restaurant in Saint-Malo. That was art — thoughtful, elegant, and deeply satisfying. Tonight’s meal felt like punishment by comparison. The gap in quality is laughable.

I genuinely don’t understand who’s leaving these glowing reviews. Locals? Friends of the owners? Bots? Because anyone who’s actually tasted good French food would know this place doesn’t even deserve to be in the conversation.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Save yourself the time, the money, and the frustration — eat literally...

What a fabulous find. I have just read two reviews giving this restaurant one star and wonder if we were at the same restaurant? We lunched here today, ‘foreign’ tourists with a dog and had a fabulous friendly welcome. We had a main course and dessert both of which were delicious. We have visited France regularly for almost 40 years and eaten in many French restaurants, and this one is an excellent example of what to expect that is fabulous food, service and decor. Please do not be put off by negative reviews but find out for yourself otherwise you will be missing out. We will certainly visit again when...

J'ai commandé un plat de moules à la crème. Les moules étaient bonnes mais elles n'étaient pas suffisamment brossées. Il y avait donc un peu de sable. Je l'ai très gentiment dit à la serveuse en fin de repas en précisant que ma remarque se voulait constructive et que les moules étaient bonnes. La serveuse est directement allée le dire à ses patrons que j'ai pu entendre protester fortement alors que j'étais à l'autre bout du restaurant et malgré la musique qui était assez forte. Au moment de l'addition j'ai redit aux patrons que je ne disais pas ça par méchanceté mais pour qu'ils soient informés et que les moules étaient bonne mais la patronne m'a crié dessus d'aller me plaindre à son fournisseur en bas de la rue et le patron m'a dit que ça " suffisait maintenant" pour que je sorte ... J'avais aussi dit que je préfèrais leur dire de vive voix plutôt que de laisser un commentaire mais au vu de leur réaction totalement disproportionnée alors que j'ai pris infiniment de précautions pour leur dire qqch qui devait leur être utile et bien je laisse un commentaire car j'ai trouvé leur réaction totalement démesurée et déplacée alors que je le répète, j'ai pris beaucoup de précautions pour ne pas blesser.
