Learned about this gem after a friendly visitor we randomly met mentioned this place for it's really delicious Creole food, simple menu and good prices. I went here with my family for a very yummy dinner experience. It was hands down the best conch salad I have ever had -- and the presentation was spot on. We chatted with Chef Carl (and met his son as well) who shared that he had just reopened about 5 months ago after losing his restaurant and home in the hurricanes -- heartbreaking. But Carl had a huge smile and tremendously positive attitude and resilience that made dining and supporting this local and family-owned gem of a restaurant even more enjoyable. We had all of the appetizers -- the conch salad and fish fritters were the favorites. I had the oxtail for my meal, my husband and father-in-law had the goat with two different preparations and my mother-in-law had the conch for her meal. The ox-tail and the conch were my favorites. Dessert was easy it was just bananas flambe -- simple and delicious. It's a no frills spot that is just before the chaos of the main strip of Grand Case. You'll be remiss if you miss out on stopping at this gem of a spot. Get the conch and say hi...

We discovered this gem our last night at Grand Case Beach Club and it was probably our favorite meal. The chef uses his refined skills to make creole food that is elevated but homey at the same time. Honestly, the red snapper we had was perfectly cooked and delicious. I'd ordered fish the night before at Le Pressoir for way, WAY more money. But this was tastier. The fish itself shone through. The oxtail was also delicious. Dessert was a yummy and very homemade tasting coconut tart. It was like being in someone's kitchen but that someone just happens to be a highly skilled chef. Carl, the chef, is also a delightful person and his warmth shows in the food and also the cozy decor. Just LOVED this place. And if you are staying at Grand Case Beach Club, it's the closest restaurant...

What a delightful, authentic, local creole experience! My husband and I dined at numerous wonderful restaurants in Grand Case from many fine dining to the Lolos, and this was one of our very favorites! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is extremely warm and welcoming. At the end of our meal, the chef greeted us pleasantly, sharing his inspirational story and his efforts to triumph over the challenges posed by the hurricane. This was followed by a fun and unexpected interactive lesson on medicinal herbs, where the chef and waiter plucked herbs from the garden and encouraged us to guess what they were. They made us an impromptu tea with the herbs (you must try the fresh lemongrass!) as they enlightened us the health benefits of each! It was a very memorable way to conclude...
