Mozzica — Restaurant in Sarlat-la-Canéda

This place is the cherry that tops this magical town of Montignac… We were blown away by the food, the service, and lastly the breath taking and picture perfect view at the edge of the river. You are really dining in a movie scene. Every ingredient was fresh and authentic. Still can’t get over the olive oil which set the stage for everything else. The gelato was out of this world…we came back three times in one day. On top of everything, the service and owners were delightful and we spoke at length with them about their restaurant and the town and region. Top of the top experience....

I recommend this place a million percent!!! I am SO happy it was so close to our Airbnb. We were there a week and came here everyday- we loved their espresso (real espresso machine), and I was absolutely obsessed with the antipasti salad, and the pizza was just out of this world- you can taste the quality and care put into making it!! Pizzeria tenue pourtant par un italien, nous laissant croire à une belle decouverte et une bonne dégustation mais malheureusement il n'en est rien ! Dommage ! Pour une commande pour 4 personnes avec différentes sortes, on vous sert une très grande pizza rectangulaire regroupant les variétés choisies. Une grosse croûte de pain moelleuse autour et peu d'ingrédients en garniture, pour exemple une 4 fromages (margharita ici) nous cherchons les fromages. Dommage pour cette expérience.

Suite à la réponse du propriétaire, je tiens seulement à préciser que c'était une commande emportée, sans boissons ! Que personne ne nous a demandé si cela avait été et pour cause, c'est emporté ! Qu'il ne s'agit pas de prix mais de qualité, c'est à dire plus d'ingrédients et moins de pâte pour un italien ! Même si la pizza était à 20€ , ce n'est pas un problème, il faut du qualitatif. J'ai déjà dégusté des vraies pizzas à 26€ à base de crème avec du vrai gorgonzola et motzarella en quantité, pas de soucis si le prix est justifié ! Mais là pour le prix c'est cher pour de la pâte !
