We visited in low season and the dinner hour hadn't started yet. I told them we were very flexible about what we ate. We just wanted to warm up, have a small bite and a drink. It was like we were family right away. We were served promptly and they make us a charcuterie board that was delicious and well varied. We were served cheeses, pate, duck legs, cured meats.. We had a chat with the owners, petted their new puppy and had an all together enjoyable experience. Very friendly and hospitable folks and delicious food. And the views of the Dordogne river are awe inspiring!

Wonderful location overlooking the Dordogne. If you are looking for *good* then this is it, but if you are looking for *great* then look again. Food and service are good. Prices are OK, typical of the tourist market, but a little high. The restaurant does not need to try too hard, it will always get tourists like us because of the location, however it was also apparent to us they don't try so hard. Hey-ho, we still enjoyed our lunch...

Party of four and had the three course for 34€. Entree, Tarte de tomates x3, tasty, could have done with a few more Mozzerella balls, but a good size portion overall. Terrine de foie gras, also good. Le plat chaud, Entrecôte x3, one with pepper, one with Roquefort and one with mushroom sauce. All cooked perfectly medium and served with potatoes and small bit of veg. Very tasty and clean plates. Gambas x3 on the plate served with a small portion of mushroom risotto. Good flavour, could have done with maybe one or two gambas. Dessert, Royal chocolate x2, lovely smooth chocolate truffle on a crunchy base. Served with cream. A nice size portion, not too rich. Plate of three cheeses, not a huge amount, included goats. Can’t remember what the other dessert was, but all dishes cleaned up! Nice bottle of rose, expensive at 21€. Staff friendly, service good and English spoken. Food served with a timely break between courses so we didn’t feel rushed. We...

We go here almost every time we visit the region. They have such an amazing view of the river if you get a window seat.

We went here for our anniversary this time. I wish that I had thought to take pictures, but we were having such a nice calm evening away from our 2 yr old that we didn't think to take any.

We both had the large salads (he got the vegetarian plate and I got the Périgourdine). They are HUGE and very filling. I call them salads because they are based on lettuce, but there is so much more to them. His came with cooked potatoes, a flaky cooked goat cheese, and other adornments. Mine had a toast with foie gras, duck legs, duck breast slices, cooked duck gizzards and lots of nuts. I was deciding between the salad and getting confit de canard. I think I chose correct since I still had a lot of duck despite it being technically a salad.

They even surprised us by bringing us a piece of chocolate cake with sparklers for our...

One of the worst experiences in a long long time. Went there for lunch with the family. After having been served drinks and having had a look at the menu, we decided to go elsewhere as the menu did not offer anything interesting for us to have. When we told the waitress we would only be having drinks, without saying another word she started clearing the table. Luckily we were “allowed” to pay for our drinks in the restaurant, not at our table. This kind of service is below all standards. We will never go back there and definitely warn other people not to go there. There must be so much other places in that little town which do appreciate...
