Stop the Press! Plant based & Gluten Free food of the highest order in Bonifacio!!! Yes you read it right - and not just good food, but exquisite and complex flavours and textures. This is the kind of dining experience you expect when visiting other internationally acclaimed restaurants around the globe but in Bonifacio, where even a soy or almond cappuccino invokes bewilderment, this is indeed a rare find. The three Michelin starred chef came out and spoke to us about my wife’s needs and proceeded to personalise the menu with the utmost skill. A silky smooth plant based ricotta soft cheese the chef had created was included in both our starters - perfection ! Her main was a risotto ( cooked from scratch with their own vegetable stock) while I enjoyed a sublime take on the classic Roman dish Cacio e Pepe. Accompanied by the sommeliers choice of wine by the glass and service that was friendly and knowledgeable made this a night to remember. It’s Saturday night and we ask the waitress - in English - can we come in and order some dessert. It was 22:10 and still plenty of people eating. ‘No sorry, we’re closed for food’ and she walked off. So, as we only wanted dessert, I went to the bar and asked the barmaid could we just order dessert? She just scrunched up her face and shook her head. Disappointed we’d missed service (despite google opening hours saying 11:30), we started to walk away only to see 3 girls who had been talking in French to the waitress, sit down and be given 3 food menus. I can only assume it was pure discrimination in that we spoke in English, not French that we were not served. Appalling. Definitely my new favorite place in the Island. Tried their set menu at a competitive price and was very satisfied. Every dish from start to finish was sincerely excellent and portions were very reasonable in size. I particularly loved their main dish, which was pasta, definitely in the top 3 pasta dishes I have ever tried.

I also liked the fact that despite being a set menu, the pace was correct, not too fast but not painfully slow. Excellent bread too!
