This is NOT a chambre d'hote or a B&B, it is a small un-staffed hotel. Don't let their web page fool you into thinking that you are staying with a caring family at a chambre d'hote. You go to the marina front bar/restaurant to pay and get your key. Then you drive yourself around back to a separate building where there are 5 hotel rooms all on a second floor level (or from the bar you walk down the street, up a dozen stairs, then up and around on the road). You cannot access the rooms from the bar/restaurant. If you have a car they will give you a parking pass (in exchange for your passport) for lot P2 which is a 5 minute walk away (that's far with luggage) so you will do what we did - park ON the road (as there are is no shoulder) with blinkers going until you have unloaded your luggage before parking your car. Unless you go to the bar you will not see any family member or staff again because this is not a chambre d'hote. ||||The location is right at the end of the marina. The room is pleasant and modern. The marina view is nice. ||||We were told we could have breakfast at 7am as we had to be at the ferry terminal at 8am to catch a ferry to Sardinia but when we walked down to the pub/restaurant at 07:10 we were told we had to wait 5 - 10 minutes for the bakery delivery which ended up not arriving until after...

Read moreWe stayed here for one night and it is in a super location in Bonifacio with a relatively cheap rate per night. No complaints about the room which was fairly basic, but absolutely functional for a one night visit.||||However, access is difficult as their hotel description says they have free parking when in fact they offer you the option to park in one of the local car parks with a pass. As there is nowhere to actually park next to the hotel when you arrive we were forced to hunt for a car park with space (not easy in crowded Bonifacio where they all seem to be full!) and ultimately we found one about a 10 minute walk away which we then had to pay for ourselves (about 10 euros for an overnight stay). So it was quite irritating to have to walk to and from our car a couple of times and also pay for the privilege. ||||The hotel might have paid us back for the car park fee, but as the staff speak almost zero English whatsoever and my French is not great, it wasn't worth even trying to have the discussion! Still, despite the lack of English, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Just be wary if you're arriving with a car and expecting to drive it straight into the non-existant...
