Restaurant Le Carré — Restaurant in Senlis

This is a relatively new place in senlis and I think that it is worth to visit. The place is modern and the inside is stunning in my opinion. There is a small let's say fireplace in the middle and that is really futuristic. The food was also excellent. I ate a hamburger with fries and that was one of the best ones I ate in France. The others they ate different types of meat like fish and duck and they were all delighted about the quality. The portion is not really big... But I think that is not a big problem if the quality is excellent. I recommend the hamburger and the Cafe ice cream the most. With regard to price the place is not cheap. The hamburger was 17, the other meats started around 21 / 23 and most of the foods are around 28/30 euro. 50cl steel water is 6 euro which is in my opinion expensive. Called to make a reservation at 6:30pm (since it says “open at 6pm) for dinner. Unfortunately we couldn’t order foor until 7pm. Which was a bit annoying since we weren’t starving and had to continue traveling. We ordered the entrecôte and the cheeseburger with foie gras (both “saignant”). Nous voulions découvrir ce restaurant depuis quelque temps car il est situé dans une rue de Senlis qui est très charmante et assez proche des parkings situés derrière la cathédrale. J'ai essayé de réserver sur internet le soir même à 19h pour une table à 20h30 via l'appli zen chef sur le site du restaurant. L'appli ne permettait plus de réserver pour le soir même certainement à cause de l'heure avancée et j'ai du réserver par téléphone (très facilement). De prime à bord c'est un endroit très charmant avec sa décoration moderne et chaleureuse. Nous avons commandé entrée plat et dessert. Les plats ont une présentation correct mais plutôt décevant gustativement, assez plat et monotone. Par exemple le cheese burger maison a un bon steacks façon bouchere mais la sauce est incipide et le pain qui l'entour prend le dessus en bouche, idem pour les vol au vent d'escargot et le saumon gravelax qui n'était pas mauvais mais n'avait rien d'exceptionnel (idem pour les desserts) .

Niveau service nous avons été très bien accueilli alors que le restaurant était presque complet. Cependant nous sommes arrivés à 20h30 et sommes répartis à 23h00. Nous avons attendu très longtemps entre les plats et nous sommes parti avant l'arrivée d'un café qui avait été oublié. Au moment de payer nous avons fait remarqué l'oubli et le café nous a gentiment été offert. Pour conclure je dirait que c'est un bon endroit pour se retrouver entre amis dans un cadre sympathique et chaleureux mais que l'expérience pourrait être exceptionnelle si la cuisine et les délais de services...
