Had dinner with colleagues at the Elite steak house in Strasbourg. It’s in the Turkish tradition. We chose it principally because it was the only good restaurant we found that would serve after 20:00 on a weeknight. Two out of the three of us were quite happy with our meals. I had a mixed grill and it was a big portion with a mix of beef lamb and chicken, served with a side of fries. One of my coworkers wasn’t happy with his steak, saying it was too tough and full of gristle. The restaurant was crowded but still the service couldn't be better, the team looks very organized and the waiter Ahmed was very nice and skillful. Coming to food, the first shared steak we had was tremendous, one of the best I had in France. The second round with Lokum was not exceptional though, a bit overcooked. The side dishes were average but the sauces were tasty.
A big thumbs up for the dessert Havuç Dilim (a kind of baklava) that is worth as much as what you could find in Turkey, if not better.
I went there a second time for lunch and the plat du jour...
