Gulja Uyghur — Restaurant in Strasbourg

A restaurant with delicious food and great service. This was the 1st time I tried Uyghur cuisine (cuisine Ouïghours) and it was a great experience. To begin with, you are warmly welcomed and you also receive complimentary tea. I then tried the Samsa au Poulet and it was delicious. I also ordered the Qoruma Leghmen and it was prepared extremely well. The meat and noodles were just right and the dish itself is slightly spicy but it's a very slow low burn and even someone with no spice tolerance can enjoy it. It is also oily, but it does not feel heavy, so I think they prepared the dish masterfully. The Poulet Epicée was also delicious. Lastly the Pétir Manta was delicious and also very filling. Overall, everything tasted really fresh. I recommend getting dishes to share because the portions are big and very filling. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because none of the dishes blew me away. Everything was good, especially considering the price it was great, but...

Just had an amazing meal at this small family Uyghur spot in Strasbourg. If you're into or curious about Central Asian cuisine, you're gonna love it here. The vibes? Super welcoming. The food? Seriously good and reminds me a lot of Uzbek dishes - think rich spices, tasty meats, and awesome bread, rice sides, steamed dumplings and noodle. I had Laghman and Samsa, and it was fantastic.

Definitely check this place out if you're looking for something different and delicious. It's like finding a piece of Central Asia right here in the city....

J’ai récemment eu l’occasion de dîner dans un restaurant ouïghour et j’ai été absolument ravi par l’expérience. Dès l’instant où je suis entré, j’ai été accueilli chaleureusement par le personnel, dont la gentillesse et l’attention ont rendu la soirée encore plus agréable.
