It was worth coming up the mountain for lunch rather than queueing at the bottom for 20 mins even though we had two complete beginners in our party. The service was fairly quick. Nice restaurant overlooking the Chaux des Rosees chairlift. Vegetarian Daughter had plain pasta spaghetti €10 for an adult size portion and they gave us some cheese to go with it. Au pair had sizeable spaghetti bolognese for €14 (maybe 13). Carafe of wine was good value and tasted nice. Two slices of bread for €0.5 plus butter extra. I had very nice green salad for €3.50 though could have done with a little more dressing. Chips were not soggy and rather nice. Girl behind the counter...

This restaurant is located in the Plaines Dranse, ideally having the sun but without having a great view on the mountains.

This is NOT a self-service. You order your plates at the bar, then you receive a buzzer that will tell you when your order is fully ready. Then you can come back and pick your order up.

On the plus side: nice atmosphere, nice location, friendly service, local dishes (“Berthoud”).

On the minus side: long waiting times in the high season (ie February holidays), slightly overpriced, no dish with proper vegetables (only French...

Another adventure high above the French Alps ...the ride to the restaurant was to say the least daring and adventurous..you certainly get feed well..plenty of food and the raclette cheese experience was amazing ..for me it was a first....and to top it off with an accordion sing along with the locals .... well worth the ride...

Unknown in the area we ended up here. Place was busy and looks nice so mostly a good sign. Food was below par. 16 Euro for some chips and some undefined meat is really too much. After a few days of skiing we know now there are much better places.
