Disappointing Experience – Not a True Representation of Indian Cuisine
I visited Mumbai Restaurant near Val d'Europe mall on a Thursday evening, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had — especially for a restaurant claiming to represent Indian cuisine abroad.
There were no other customers when I arrived, yet it took 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge my presence. I asked for a recommendation for a signature or popular dish, and the lady who eventually took my order suggested Paneer Masala and Aloo Gobhi. I went with her recommendation.
After another long wait of about 20 minutes, the food finally arrived — and it was incredibly underwhelming. The quality and taste were far below expectations. I’ve had better meals at humble roadside dhabas in India that operate with far fewer resources.
The Paneer Masala (€11.50) lacked flavor and freshness, the Aloo Gobhi (€10.50) was bland and oily, and the Chapati (€3) was made with visibly unclean flour — I could see husk pieces in it. We finished food because we do respect of food and also it involves money as well. But the worst food I had in my entire life. I even gave feedback on same day to the restaurant owner, but they were not welcoming any feedback. So here also I felt disappointment.
For a restaurant carrying the name "Mumbai" and serving Indian food in a foreign country, this was disappointing and misleading. It does not do justice to the rich and diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. I sincerely hope the management considers hiring a skilled Indian chef or reevaluating the menu. Otherwise, continuing under the banner of "Indian food" does more harm than good to the image of our culinary heritage.
I urge fellow members of the Indian community in Paris and Val d'Europe to be aware and perhaps take initiative in ensuring better representation of our...

Read moreWe loved the food here. We called in advance as the restaurant was closing in just under an hour, the first time the guy didn’t like us asking question about dine-in and hung up but second time he said come quick as we are closing.
Turns out it may be language gap as we were speaking english. The area is peaceful where the restaurant is and it is close to Disneyland, the food was delicious and we also clarified some items with the front-end guy who was from Bangladesh but he knew well about the items.
