we were hoping to have a lovely meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. the dining room is charming, lovely decor, ambience, attentive (at times) wait staff, beautiful glass ceiling. with many food restrictions, i have to be careful to check menu ingredients. i asked carefully about one dish, but was unable to choose it when it was clarified how the dish was prepared (the ingredient could not be placed on the side but was incorporated throughout). instead i chose another dish, with apparently no ingredients of alarm. my husband chose the lamb dish. neither of the descriptions were accurate. his delicious meal came with zucchini (not listed) and without the espuma chèvre (foam of goat cheese) to which he was looking forward. not a great tragedy, but certainly not as written on the menu. my meal, risotto of spelt, with spring peas and blond dried raisins, was covered in a white foam. although the server could not tell me what it was, as i suspected, another, later on, confirmed it was indeed goat cheese foam (not anywhere listed as an ingredient in my dish). i dislike goat cheese, and found no raisins, only spelt and peas with the goat cheese. an extremely disappointing dish, especially for the price. when i brought this up to two servers, the only response was, we'll mention it to the kitchen staff. we're very used to the different levels of customer service in france, we've been living here for quite a while, and though not at all similar to customer service in north america, we certainly didn't expect to have to pay €28 for the main dish from the 'menu signature' for a dish that contained only 3 visible ingredients, none of them costly, and missed containing other ones that were listed and might have made the dish more palatable, but just. i only ate less than half of the dish, and could not enjoy its flavours. thankfully, i had taken a delicious tapas entrée. we never expect any kind of compensation for a meal not enjoyed in france, like we can in north america, but we'll not be back, and we can't give the restaurant a favourable review if they don't stick to the ingredients listed on the menu, and feel at liberty to change them whenever their fancy feels like it. a hefty price tag (which we were ready to spend if all courses were as great as they...

Read moreNot bad, but not worth the price. Had the rillettes de poisson, which was good, but the size of the plate, which is a main dish, was measly - and this is coming from someone who has a small appetite - this was barely entree size. The restaurant seems to be trying to go for “fine cuisine”, but is far off. Go elsewhere, you’ll find dishes that are as or more tasty, definitely more filling and probably...
