KITCHEN NIGHTMARE... THIS IS THE PLACE !!!! DO NOT GO
I'm writing this review in English ( even though I am a local ) to make SURE no one tourist will ever get trapped there. The waitress looked friendly ( at first ) even though either her or the boss really looked like pro ( rather serving you in dirty sweatpants ) we ordered rose wine and a kid menu for our 3 years old. Choosing our meals in the meantime. The rose was mediocre the say the least. I had much better ones in pubs in London, a little sad for a restaurant in the south of France! Anyway; we didn't mind, we came with the right mindset, it was my birthday ( not like if it make any diference we didn't want anything fancy we are eating out every night and had an amazing experience in the restaurant right in front of them the night before , we just wanted to have the same kind of night, and try an other place because ( why not ? ) terrible decision. Our son's burger arrived ( medium ) but was pink inside ( not fantastic for a toddler ) but we could have ask the waitress to eat it a little more - well no time for it. Our son get a second or third bite and he started puking everywhere ( scare movie type - honestly ). We felt terrible and just wanted to clean him up and get back home ( no one can really enjoy a meal after having their toddler vomit the soul out of himself ) note that we order 3- 4 minutes before that our mains. While taking care of our son and cleaning the high chair , the floor , the entire place ... we kindly asked the waitress if she could cancel our order and get us the bill for the wine and kid menu ( didn't mind to pay for it , it's just fair, and it might have been sick for something else, so no problem there ) she replied that she couldn't as the chef already started cooking it ( as a HUMAN BEING - NOT EVEN AS A WAITRESS ) I think that absolutely awfull . You see a 3 years old completely sick in the restaurant and you do not try to have even the tiniest bit of compassion - cherry on the cake - the owner comes out to tell us where was the bin next to the square ( didn't want to have vomit in his own bin ) - the appetite was already loss at that point. But we tried ( wrong desicion ) to give it an other chance. Our son stopped vomiting so at this point we just wanted to eat quickly our meal and get back home. Ohhhh No ! We received "la piece du boucher" and a beef burger . The steak was UNEATABLE , and what they were calling fat was rather skin that you couldn't even cut. My burger was completely blend. With ketchup and cheddar ( I had better in burger King ) we kindly show the waitress that the steak was chewie and not good AT ALL ( the green colour in some part should have been enough of a warning ). She just laughed and replied " yeah, some can be more chewie than other " and that it was "faux filet " . My husband works in a steak restaurant in London that got his own butcher inside, we can confirm this isn't "faux fillet" not even from far. She left, and we were kind of hoping she would call the chef or the owner so we could maybe have something else instead but no, she simply left and went to do something else. The fried were soggy and sad, the entire thing was a complete flop! I then went inside with my credit card hoping to share my experience and disappointment to the owner ( who clearly didn't give a ) , pay for the wine and go! And this is when the main issue of the restaurant came to the surface . The owner is an ARROGANT, EGOIST, WITH 0 HUMANITY, 0 SENSE OF HOSPITAILY, 0 LOVE FOR HIS JOB OR FOR HIS CUSTOMERS. Someone that doesn't accept any feedback if there aren't positive. He started right away to be aggressive, telling me I didn't know what i was saying, that I simply didn't want to pay for the bill , that if my son throw up it was because he had too much son ( you should have get a punch in the face only for daring talking about a child that way ) started shouting at the kitchen " LOOK SHE DOESNT LIKE YOUR FOOD , SHE SAYS ITS " he pretended I was the first one complaining ( oh god I should have read...

The owner very arrogant and full of himself, the type that doesn’t accept criticism or bad feedback. Tried to fight me in front of my family and then pulling me into the kitchen- I have no idea what was his intention. Worse dinner and worse experience ever! Be careful what you read on tripadvisor most of the bad review are being removed!!!!...

De man (ik denk eigenaar) probeert in iedergeval nog een beetje gebrekkig Engels te praten iets wat ik wel kan waarderen als Nederlander. Na dit was het alleen maar bergafwaarts. Voor het bestellen van het drinken gaf ik gaan dat ik graag een wit wijntje wilde drinken. Zonder zelf te kunnen kiezen en zonder dat hij wist wat ik ging eten werd er een witte wijn voor mijn neus gezet die van de kwaliteit van de gemiddelde uitgaansgelegenheid was, Bagger met de hoofdletter B. Zeker niet een wijn die ik zou verwachten in Frankrijk. Nu kwamen we op het punt om eten te bestellen. Mijn vrouw is zwanger en kan dus niet alles eten, ze kiest hierdoor voor de kip burger (heel veel meer keus is er niet maar dat is bij bijna alle restaurants zo), ik zelf neem het 'slagers stuk', blijkbaar een soort vlees van de dag. De kipburger die mijn vrouw kreeg zag er nog slechter uit dan een chilli chicken bij de McDonald's, de slappe friet die er naast lag maakte het niet beter. Het slagers stuk wat ik kreeg voorgeschoteld (normaal een entrecote of biefstuk) bleek een soort van runderlap te zijn waarvan ik nog steeds niet weet wat het was. De eerste twee happen kon ik niet eens weg krijgen zo taai en de rest was ook maar mondjesmaat weg te eten. Met de zelfde slappe friet op mijn bord werd het ook niet beter. Kortom héél slecht gegeten bij deze tent en ik raad het...
