This was a fun discovery after our visit to the palace. We came in after the midday rush and were immediately greeted by the owner. He cleaned up a booth for us and all the staff were very friendly.
We enjoy the leisurely pace of French meals so keep that in mind if you’re a speedy minded North American. Same if you want soda refills or ice-that’s not a French thing.
The food was excellent. Our group tried the chicken burger, a cheeseburger, 4-cheese tagliatella, and cappocia, all except the pasta came with fries. The fries were so delicious, and if you want a more French experience have them with house mayo instead of ketchup.
We had grilled pate fois gras for a starter and that was interesting. Good but unique-it reminded me of French toast. We also tried three desserts: chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and the dessert of the day panacotta. The panacotta was my favorite of these but all were good.

I had the supreme chicken burger and it was like the fancy southern fried chicken sandwiches we have in Texas, except a bit fancier. I would have to say that the fries are probably some of the best in the universe. They cut the fresh potatoes a certain way into wedges to make them extra puffy and crispy. I'd never seen fries done this way. If you do head over there for lunch, they have lots of room to fit people in, so even if it looks busy it is worth a try. But, be aware that the lunch hours are very short and they can sell out of a few items when it is busy. They also spoke...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this lovely bistro on our way back from a visit to the Paris Temple (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) in Le Chesnay. We were greeted warmly by the staff who spoke English and helped us with our order. We were were pleased to be served a plat de jour with tender salmon, risotto, and vegetables. We also added a couple of other dishes that were beautifully prepared. The restaurant is far from our hotel, but we would be tempted to make the long trip again to go there. Exceptional food and service. Clean and friendly...
