Avoid This Place If You Expect Basic Respect
This restaurant used to be good, but now it suffers from the same issues as many establishments in Georgia: poorly trained, impolite staff and a complete lack of hospitality standards.
When we arrived, we were met by a visibly annoyed woman who bluntly told us there were no tables available, her facial expression made it clear she resented having to work. Moments later, another staff member said, āWe donāt do waitlists, if you see a free table, jump on it!ā An unbelievable level of unprofessionalism and lack of basic training.
If Georgia wants to identify with Europe and fly that flag proudly, it urgently needs to improve its hospitality and restaurant sectors. Staff should be trained properly, maybe learn a second language that isnāt Russian, and, most importantly, treat customers with basic respect and courtesy.
This attitude unfortunately extends beyond restaurants to other areas of daily life, such as traffic. Georgians doesnāt know what is to drive with caution and respect, even at crosswalks, pedestrians must be extremely cautious not to get run over, as basic road respect is often absent.
As for the food: ⢠The Adjarian khachapuri was a sad excuse, mostly dry dough with a tasteless, dry filling. ⢠The chicken liver had no seasoning whatsoever. ⢠And yes, they even managed to mess up a pork barbecue.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe best Khachapuri I ate in Georgia and the best service I received, with an amazing view to the beach. The waitress was attentive and great overall. However, after eating my meal, before leaving I went to the toilet and after doing my needs I was washing my hands. Suddenly, out of nothing, an old blond hair woman, who looked like an owner or a manager, passed by the toilet and kept staring at me like I was a criminal for washing my hands. I stayed longer to watch her next move so she passed by me 3 times and started walking throughout the restaurant like a headless chicken, just to see me. It literally ruined my whole experience and if sheās the owner or someone involved in the upper management of the restaurant, she should use a different approach if she needs to control the restaurant. The funny part about everything is that I stayed in the restaurant for more than 2 hours and everything and every staff member was great until she show to ātake controlā. A really disgusting move of hers which will ultimately ruin the guests perception of the business. She needs to learn about effective diligence. I run a Michelin starred restaurant in London. I could give her some useful tips for her business. You can control service and business while being...
Ā Ā Ā Read morewe came to the restaurant three times. We were hungry and tired in all three. The first time we came, the food delivered was very tasteless. I ate Ostri and had to throw up in the evening. On my second arrival, we approached the officiant and greeted him, he didn't even look at us, he didn't even say hello, we asked if there was a free seat in Russian, Turkish, and then in English, he said something in Georgian, made rude hand gestures, and left. We didn't find anyone who could speak English and Russian in a restaurant of that size. Someone came and he raised his voice in your language and said something. We had to leave. We arrived the next day on 10.08.2023. there was a lot of empty space outside and we were still very hungry, and it's the closest to where we stayed. We were sitting at one of the tables when the waiter literally attacked us. he gestured with his hands and asked us to get up. He knows neither Russian nor English. But, no, no, go, go. I spoke Turkish, but he didn't understand. In short, you have very uncivilized staff, they are unprofessional, they don't know the language, they work with tourists, they are rude, the service is terrible. And thanks to you, I hated Batumi and you. I will...
