Sunset Batumi — Restaurant in Batumi

The WORST experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant! Extreme DISRESPECT and POOR SERVICE.

I’m a traveler and food lover. I’ve been to many restaurants around the world and visiting Sunset Batumi was the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had as a tourist.

The meals and the service were poor. Extremely disrespectful staff, low comfort, poorly prepared food, loud music, bad toilets, and much more…

We came there to have a dinner. They didn’t let my friend come in because she had a dog. It was a small one and they didn’t have any official notice that they don’t allow animals, so I decided to talk to the manager.

The manager was rude with me. She said “This is our rules. I don’t come to your house with my rules, so you have to respect ours”. I was shocked hearing this from a restaurant manager and I said I’ll leave a bad review. She was angry.

Then I took some photos with the restaurant view and my friends. The manager didn’t like this, she called the police. She asked us to pay and immediately leave the restaurant. She said that she does’t care because in her country, she can do whatever she wants. She also mentioned something about our nationality (it was in Georgian, so I don’t know what exactly she meant).

The restaurant staff acted like they did’t really care about us as clients at all.

We denied to pay and leave because we haven’t finished our meals. The police came and took us to the police office. We explained the whole situation to the officers and the police let us go. Obviously, there was no reason to hold us, but our evening was ruined.

If you’re looking for a place to have a lunch or dinner, it’s definitely NOT a good place to go. Highly recommend to AVOID THIS RESTAURANT in...

We went to that place a few times. It's conveniently located. This is a place where you go mainly for the show and party time, which is great there. The show includes georgian dancing, singing, music and there's a dance floor where the party begins later at night. If you go after sunset, you can sit at the terrace at the end of restaurant to admire the singing fountain and orbi towers lights. As for the food, they offer a large variety of georgian dishes. They also have a large choice of drinks and wines, and they make the drinks right (compared to some other places). The prices are in the range of any other restaurant by the beach. 1 star is too much for them! Our friend recommended us that restorurant we drove 400 km to get there! We got there at 4pm and asked if we can reserve a table for 7 people! Manager told us thet its not possible to reserve a table for less than 20 people and she recommended us to come at 7.30 and we will be seated! We got there at 7.45 and there was 3 empty tables for 6 people we tried to seat there but they didnt let us to seat there and they told us that is reserved! Its so interesting! They are tling me before that we cant reserve a table for less than 20 people but they are doing that wuth other people! After that they cussed us and started Yelling on us and our children started cring...and my child is so depressed and cant even talk! We are so Frustrated! Do not go...
