Hangeweiher — Restaurant in Aachen

Day 1 we went in for just a quick drink before closing time. Quick and very friendly service, forgot a bagg so were there next day again at noon and we decided to stay for a bite. On both days the service was attentfull, friendly and fast and also really nice towards kids. The food was good, tastefull and came with a nice fresh salad. Price/quality is very good, we tried the schnitsel and curryworst and both were great. On a small note, as I always review honestly, the kids plate was good but for me slightly overpriced. Compared to the rest of the menu and also the delightful cakes and pies presented for an average price under 4 euro each, then the 4 fish sticks with fries seem overpriced. Besides the small note, if you find yourself in the park, do not hesitate to try the restaurant. It is definitly worth it.

And last but not least... congrats for the cleaning lady or man, or team, even the place had a great collection of coffee grinders and lots of deco all around, meaning a lot of dustwork and small corners to clean, the place was so clean and well maintained I have to mention my respect for this. We were doing some voluntary cleaning work in the park. As soon as we entered the park and were near the restaurant, the owner was going somewhere. It was around 09:50 in the morning may be.. we just started the cleaning activity and were not even thinking of food at that time. As the owner saw us doing the cleaning, he immediately asked us if we would like to have some drinks. It was really very nice of him to offer us something. Thank you very much for the offer. It was really sweet...

Waren heute mit meiner Gehbehinderten Mutter da und wollten Speisen. Auf Anfrage nach einem verfügbaren Tisch, wies man uns darauf hin in einer Stunde wieder zu kommen, dann wären die ersten Gäste wieder weg und es wäre ein Tisch verfügbar. Dies taten wir auch, kamen nach der besagten Stunde wieder, wurden dann unfreundlich von den überfordert wirkenden Personal erneut abgetan, es wäre noch nichts frei. Wir nahmen dann auf der Terrasse Platz um schon mal in Ruhe etwas zu trinken während wir auf einen freien Tisch warteten , wo wir auch an den umgebenen Tischen sehr abwimmelndes Verhalten gegenüber den Besuchern mitbekamen. In dieser Zeit verließen nun ein paar Familien das Restaurant und auf erneute Anfrage, wurde uns gesagt, es sieht sehr schlecht aus, selbst wenn man uns einen Tisch eindecken würde, würden wir 1 1/2 Stunden auf das Essen ca. warten da Wartezeit in der Küche bereits eine Stunde wäre und die Tische wären doppelt verbucht was es unmöglich machen würde. Das hätte man uns sowohl bei der ersten Anfrage als auch bei dem Wiederkommen nach der besagten Stunde so mitteilen können. Drinnen beim Zahlen, bekommt man nur gestresste Personal mit, nach dem Absprechen sich beschweren zu wollen, sah es die Chefin nicht mal in Betracht sich um die Zufriedenheit der Kunden bemühen zu wollen, nach dem Sie von Ihren Angestellten darüber in Kenntnis gesetzt wurde. Sowas macht man generell nicht mit Kunden aber vor allem nicht mit Gehbehinderten...
