Café next door — Restaurant in Augsburg

Visited here after the Mazda Museum next door. The place is the Cafe for a social outreach group called “Tür an Tür that helps displaced people integrate into Germany. The Cafe helps fund the mission.

It was not a “fancy” kind of coffee place but it is very modern and clean with comfortable light wood tones and exposed timber ceiling and lighting.

Hot coffee and cappuccino, good cakes and a more substantial daily special like soup or a sandwich is available. They also have beer and wine....

This cafe has a good selection of drinks and snacks. But I like it most for the events that take place there. This café is run 99% by volunteers and donations. Warm meals are served 4 times a week on Mon.-Thu. On Wednesdays morning and afternoon, you can come to practice your German language skills or help others to do so.
