Edit to reply to the restaurant’s response: (1) I never mentioned a race; being American is not a race. So clearly you know who we are because you know we were Black, that is why you mentioned race. I never insinuated such. (2) The water was very warm and not cool. We have eaten all over Germany and always have the bottle brought to us. You did not ask of if we wanted water in a bottle or not, we simply asked for water with no gas; either way it should not have cost 3.5 euros for lukewarm water without the bottle. (3) In The times we have shared a bottle, it was freshly poured in front of us so we knew where it came from. That’s why we know that this did not come from a bottle. (4) I live close by and will stop in soon to discuss the misunderstanding in person. (END of edit). Charged us 3.5 euros for FREE TAP WATER! Usually only water that is bottled is charged in Germany. Yet we were charged €3.5 for tap water that was warm and straight out of the sink. I didn’t know this and ordered two glasses and had to pay seven euros for warm tapwater. Not even a bottle. I don’t know if it was because we were Americans or what but even though the food was good, I will think twice about going here. I think that...
Read moreThe place and the stuff are good, everything was server more or less in time and.. and that's it. We ordered very different dishes from the menu, and all of them were quite average or even slightly below the average. For example, miso soup was more or less okay, but sushi were horrible. Well, they were edible, but the rice was way too sticky and the fish was not fresh by any standards. Okay, it didn't stink, but I would bet it has been frozen-and-unfrozen for at least three or four times, because it had completely no taste. Nori was good though. Also the place is a bit of expensive (for us the average bill was 30 EUR w/o alcohol). And I sincerely don't know why. The stuff is good, that's right, but the food.. the food's definitely...
Read moreLet me start by saying the staff were great. The food was just OK. I ordered the starter for two platter. It had fried wontons, spring rolls, chicken satay, batter fried chicken strips, and Nam rolls. I was underwhelmed, it was very basic the spring rolls were tiny and didn't have any filling. I ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken. The menu said it was spicy but it wasn't, I didn't taste any spice. I did however taste salt, it was very salty. For my main I ordered Thai chicken curry (again supposed to be spicy but wasn't). It was just OK, it came with a side of noodles that tasted like spaghetti noodles tossed in a little soy. I am going to go again but only to...
