Anami Restaurant — Restaurant in Böblingen

I came here for Saturday dinner and made a reservation beforehand. I asked a friend where to get good sushi in Böblingen and they recommended this place.

The decorations are very modern. The service was a bit slow but friendly. It is definitely as Asian fusion place as a lot of the menu was Vietnamese. I assume the chefs are Vietnamese.... there was no miso soup on the menu or edamame, but the selection was still ok.

For a place that mainly serves sushi, the menu was a bit small only offering Lachs, Lachs haut, tuna, (salmon also 😂 as if Lachs wasn’t written enough on the menu, probably writing it in English will confuse customers thinking there is something else offered), butterfish and shrimps.

Some of the specialty rolls are not the best combination with sweet and savory with an added cream cheese and or teriyaki sauce.

The food display is nice but some of the food was not so special.

I would come here again for lunch but not for dinner. There are other better sushi places. There were also endless fruit flies flying everywhere which was a bit annoying...

This is a nice restaurant but way overpriced in my opinion. I thought food tasted good, presentation was on point, but not worth 100 euros for two people on a Saturday afternoon. My husband had ginger lemonade and it was delicious but also pretty pricey. My appetizer tasted good but, again, too expensive. I had Pho and it was average. I like Pho and had in many different places around the USA, and this was just ok. I mean, would I eat it again? Yes. Was it my favorite? Definitely not. My husband had a fish with salmon and it was a small portion for almost a 20 euro plate, plus fish was way over cooked. I was very excited to try this restaurant out but will not be going back. I took a group of colleagues to this restaurant for a group dinner. The place is tastefully decorated in a very modern style, and the custom made light fittings were an eye catcher. The menu was good, and the drinks were excellent. It took a while for the food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The quality was excellent. The only problem was that the restaurant doesn't accept credit cards - you can only pay via cash or EC. That posed a problem for the colleague from US who was hosting the dinner. In the end, I paid with my EC card. If it wasn't for that hassle, I would have given this restaurant 5 stars. I would definitely come here again for personal meals, but until that credit card issue is fixed, I would not recommend this restaurant for...
