You can enjoy authentic and traditional omakase, and at the same time, the friendly hosting ambience brings everything to another level but still keep it 100% professional. Chef Lee has really taken the cuisine scene in the Frankfurt area to the next level. The Omakase menu is more than worth the drive to Bad Vilbel and hands down to one of the best dining experiences I’ve had so far.

Ich schreibe selten Google Reviews, aber für die Oyster Lodge muss ich eine Ausnahme machen.

Im kleinen beschaulichen Bad Vilbel befindet sich mit der Oyster Lodge eines der aktuell besten Sushi Restaurants Europas. Mit Sushi und Omakase Erfahrung in Tokio, Singapur, New York, Amsterdam, London, Washington DC, etc. habe ich im Sushi Bereich schon viele Highlights erlebt und kann sagen: die Oyster Lodge muss sich vor gar keiner Konkurrenz verstecken. Die obzessive Sorgfalt des Sushi Meisters Jay Lee zieht sich durch das ganze Konzept. Die nach langem probieren ausgewählten Lieferanten liefern frischesten Fisch und Meeresfrüchte aus ganz Europa. O-Toro, Chu-Toro, Yellowtail, Akami, frischer Uni, lebendiger Hummer sind nur einige der Highlights des stets wechselnden Menus.

Man könnte noch lange schreiben über die aufwendigste Vorbereitung jedes noch so kleinsten Details (Selbstgebraute Sojasoße, frischer Wasabi gerieben am traditionellen Haifischhaut Brett etc.) aber das wichtigste ist am Ende das Resultat: Jedes Nigiri schmeckt unvergesslich und wenn es euch wie mir geht seid Ihr nach einem Abend hier süchtig. Wir kommen mittlerweile regelmäßig aus Köln (Wo es in Köln und Düsseldorf doch auch sehr gutes Sushi gibt). Weil wir der Ansicht sind: In Deutschland gibt es aktuell keinen besseren Sushi-Meister...
