I and my colleagues from Ahmedabad, India, recently visited Ansbach for a business trip and were delighted to discover Maharaja Indian Restaurant near our hotel. The food here is incredibly authentic and original, reminding us of home. We dined here for dinner every day and even ordered lunch for our German colleagues at the company we visited - they loved it too! This is my favorite Indian restaurant ever. They have the best food! I have eaten nearly everything off of the vegetarian menu, but now only eat the butter chicken sauce. I used to order it with paneer instead of chicken but the sauce is so good, I just want the sauce. The portions are great. We come nearly monthly and usually get it to-go, but if you dine in, they will pack your meal up and give you extra rice usually. The staff are very nice and speak English.
