Sumo Sushibar — Restaurant in Bavaria

Ordered salmon roe and was given something else entirely. For 10 minutes they tried to lie to me and tell me that it was what I ordered. They even claimed the English menu might have the different info thus making them right (it was the same). They then told me they haven’t had Ikura for 10 years now but it’s still on their menu (with current prices). They insisted I pay for the food I did not order, because according to them, it was not their fault. They tried to tell me ikura and tobiko taste the same. Suspicious comment from someone who runs a sushi restaurant. The rest of the food was no better. The food was unnecessarily sweet, even the soup. The people were downright rude. They told us complaining won’t do anything given they’ve been around for 10 years so it won’t...

I went with my husband to have a quiet lunch, we asked kindly to the lady to please give us another container to put the sauce since I have allergic to certain things that my husband order and I cannot mix and the lady started to give me attitude yell and saying no, no and no, I even used my translator and a person who spoke German and English and did not allow him to translate either. We ended up paying fora meal that we do not eat and we left with no desire to eat...

Key points: food is above what you would expect for the price.

Expect it to be busy.

Very small dining room (3 tables).

Have someone who speaks German if possible.

Exercise patience. This is a 4 person restaurant. It's going to take a little time to get your food.

Overall we couldn't be happier. There was a mistake with our order, we pointed it out, it got fixed. No fuss. Nothing like other reviews who said there was a fight about their orders...
