Delightful little restaurant that has the makings of becoming one of the best in the region. After a bumpy start to our night, we absolutely fell in love with the place.
Initially, we were not met with any real greeting or welcome and had to stand by the entrance awkwardly as the hostess/server walked by us a few times before we were acknowledged and shown our table. My husband’s jacket was collected and hung but mine was not (not a big deal, but the inconsistency made me feel disregarded).
A beautiful amuse-bouche came out, but we had to sit around wondering when our bottle of wine was coming. I think it was just forgotten, and we had to remind her, but in all fairness she quickly obliged and wonderfully decanted it for us. After those few first hiccups, her service became professional, smooth and friendly so that is all that matters.
The whole culinary experience was masterful from start to end. Every plate, utensil, and dish was beautiful to look at, carefully presented, and delicious to eat. I always judge a restaurant based on its bread and olive oil, and theirs was top tier. I was pleased that they offer a set course option along side an à la cart one. It was very evident that all ingredients were exquisitely fresh and local. The small touches and play on colors, textures, and visuals were meticulously thought out and crafted. The indoor area is within a rustic tavern full of character and charm but only holds four tables, so definitely make a reservation. I believe there may be a courtyard that can accommodate more patrons in favorable weather.
Our initial (somewhat) cold reception was more than made up for when the chef came out to ask us how everything was and sent us off very warmly at the end of the night. The food was utterly incredible from start to finish, and I cannot wait to go back again. I truly believe if they refine the initial reception to be more warm and acknowledging, they could very well be tapped on the shoulder with a Michelin star in the near future. Bravo...
Read moreI am sorry but I must say it’s a disappointing dining experience. First, I found this restaurant based on the 4.9 marks in google, the environment is nice. However, the service was not as good as expected, the waitress was not professional, when we asked her what is your recommendation, she said it depends on what you like and that's it. We ordered two winter truffles seasonal dishes with ravioli and the other one with beef, we thought it should be a great experience. But the truffles were taste a little bit difference, they didn’t have any truffles favour, meaning they were a bit hard, indeed, in the whole dish, we could taste one or two pieces with nice truffles flavour.
The most disappointment to make me write this review was when the waitress asked whether we liked the dinner. We honestly told her the problem of the truffle and she suddenly pull a long face and said okay! Without asking further or saying anything. I am sorry to tell you this is not a behaviour we would expect from a restaurant at this price range. We were celebrating 1st anniversary with my boyfriend and we were longing for this dinner. Diesmal hat alles gepasst, vom freundlichen Empfang, über die aufmerksame Bedienung , bis hin zum wirklich perfekten Essen. Mehr geht kaum. Und auch ein paar herzliche Worte zum Abschied haben nicht gefehlt. Deshalb 2 Sterne mehr als bei der ersten Rezension. Weiter so! Wir kommen wieder!
Erster Abend: Kleine Auswahl in der Karte, was aber gar kein Problem ist. Da sollte jeder etwas finden. Das Essen war teilweise sehr gut, teilweise zu salzig, oder auch zu zitronig. Insgesamt aber ok. Der Service war leider sehr traurig, inkompetent, wenig herzlich und unambitioniert. Teilweise begriffsstutzig. Wir fühlten uns nicht wirklich gut bedient. Aperitif lieblos angerichtet. Cappuccino und Espresso lauwarm. Kein Schnapserl und keine Verabschiedung. Insgesamt sehr gemischt, bei gehobenen Preisniveau. Das geht besser.

vielen Dank für die ausführliche Stellungnahme. Nur zur Klarstellung; der Service wurde nur zum kleinsten Teil durch Ihre Frau übernommen. Den Hauptteil eine andere Mitarbeiterin. In einem derart kleinen und intimen Gastraum, vor den Ohren der anderen Gäste, sowie der eigenen Gäste am Tisch eine umfangreiche Kritik zu äußern hielt ich für unangemessen. Das hätte den Abend richtig schlecht in Erinnerung bleiben lassen. Eine Gelegenheit zu einem kurzen vier Augen Gespräch ergab sich leider auch nicht. Und selbstverständlich haben wir gemeinsam eine zweite Chance verdient. Wir kommen nächsten Samstag wieder und lassen uns gerne positiv überraschen. Vielleicht ergibt sich ja bei der Gelegenheit eine Möglichkeit zu einem kurzen Gespräch über den ersten Abend.
