Ristorante Italia in Bergisch Gladbach is a true gem and a shining example of a family-owned and run restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were embraced by a warm, welcoming ambiance that made us feel right at home.
The food? Simply outstanding. Chef Pino Bruno is nothing short of a culinary artist. His dishes are not just meals; they are masterpieces that look like painted pictures. Each plate he creates is a work of art, and every bite tells a story of passion and creativity.
One of the highlights of our visit was watching my 9-year-old daughter [Micky]—an extremely picky eater—fall in love with Chef Pino’s special tomato sauce pasta. To this day, she talks about that pasta and compares every other dish to it. Nothing has come close to Chef Pino’s creation!
The staff were equally impressive—attentive, kind, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a great dining experience.

Read moreThe staff was very rude they made me waiting more than 40minutes and then they asked me if I get to them first, really, I have to get to them, since when the client goes to the waiters, it seems that here is different than the rest of the world. So I got up and went to a closer restaurant were I didn't had to go to the weiter, they came to me. I went to Veuve Clicquot, because they were available, unfortunately the 2 star Michelin restaurant Vendome was full.
And yes, I forgot he made me a theory why I didn't say hello, really, maybe I'm tired, maybe I'm upset and I just want to drink and eat something, and after 40 minutes waiting you aspectme to smile......
Read moreWe absolutely don't understand the 4.4 star rating to be honest. We ordered a rumpsteak and angus filet pepe verde. The structure of the Angus filet was good, but the rumpsteak was too dry. The peppersauce wasn't fresh and homemade as we hoped for. The sides (potatoes and mixed veggies) were drowned in way too much olive oil and lost its taste because of it. We were served only one drink a person and weren't asked if we needed any more drinks. At last we had to wait a long time to be able to order desert. This took too long, so we ordered the bill and looked...
